***WILLIAM'S P.O.V***

I calmed myself down before calling Shona's mum. I pressed the call button but then hung up before it rung. I never planned on ringing Shona's mum to tell her that her daughter was in hospital because of something I convinced her to do. You know what, I've gotta man up right now, I've got to do this no matter what!! I press the call button and hold the phone to my ear, I really hope this goes well.

W= WILLIAM

A= ANDRÉ

J=JACINTA (SHONA'S MUM)

J= Hello, Jacinta speaking.

W= Hello Ms Thompson. Its William.

J= Ohh hello William. Are you not at school today?

W= I was earlier, not right now though.

J= Ohh okay. William, is there something wrong?

W= Yes there is Ms Thompson.

J= Well, I'm listening.

W= Okay, well Shona and I won the talent comp.

J= That's good news, congratulations William.

W= Thanks. But umm, Shona didn't really react well to it. She got announced as the winner and she started having an asthma attack. I searched through her bags to find her puffer, but I couldn't find it anywhere. She fell to the floor and I immediatly ran to her side. She then passed out. She's in the hospital right now. I'm really sorry Ms Thompson, I didn't want to be the one to tell you what happened.

J= William, are you serious right now?

W= Yes Ms Thompson, I'm really sorry for being the one to tell you this horrible news.

J= No, thank you for telling me William. Are you there right now?

W= Yeah. I went in the ambulance with her.

J= Thank you William. I wouldn't have known if you didn't ring. André and I will be there within the next half hour.

W= No problem Ms Thompson. I'm really sorry that I was the one to tell you this. I'll see you soon, bye.

I hung up the phone thinking things might not be so bad. But then again, that was just on the phone, I haven't seen them face to face about it yet. I can't believe noone told her that her daughter was in hospital.

I texted Chad and told him that I rang her mum and she thanked me for calling because not even the hospital had called her about it either. I told them I still hadn't been updated on Shona's condition and I would let them know as soon as I got told anything. He sent back a quick thank you and said that they were right about the whole her mum not being angry about it.

I rang my parents and told them everything too. They decided on not coming to see her until her parents had came in to see her. They were both at work anyways, so they couldn't really come now even if they really wanted to. They told me to keep them updated on what her situation is aswell and I agreed. Shona's mum and André arrived and her mum came over to me as soon as she seen me.

'Why are you out here?' She asked.

'Because they wanted me to calm down out here and cause I knew you guys were coming so I waited out here.' I answered.

'Come on, let's go inside.' Her mum replied.

We went inside and went up to the front desk. Her mum and André did some perswasive talking to the lady and she finally let us go up to where Shona was, floor 11. We were allowed to wait in the hall, but we weren't allowed to go in or talk to the doctors about her condition yet because they were still running tests on her. The lady escorted us to the right floor and we all thanked her before she left. We walked down the hall and we stopped at window 19, Shona's room........

I looked through the large window to see Shona's lifeless body laying on the bed surrounded by doctors. She had cords and tubes coming from her arms, chest, back, temples and from her nose. She had been connected to a life support machine but the results on the little box showed little hope as it had very few heartbeats shown. It looked a little like ^------^-----^---^--------^------^ so it was beating at a slow irregular pace. She was hooked up to alot of other machines too but that one stood out to me the most, because that was probably the only thing keeping her heart beating at the moment.

I looked back at her mum and André and André was trying to comfort Jacinta. I could tell she was close to bursting out in tears, and he was doing a pretty good job at relaxing her, better than I could ever do anyways. I looked back at Shona and the doctors, and they were trying to make her heart beat more regular. Ever so slowly it was working, and for that reason I had slightly more hope in the fact that she might pull through.

Her heart was beating pretty regularly now with slight altercations. The doctors began leaving Shona's room and the last doctor which seemed to be the head doctor stopped to talk to us. I was secretly praying inside that it was going to be good news, because at that point in time, that was all I could do........
