***WILLIAM'S P.O.V***
We were lead to a room with nothing but a table, 2 chairs, a CD player in the corner and some candles, just how I wanted it. I looked at Shona and she was standing at the door with her mouth open. The lady had left so it was just Shona and I. I tried to read Shona's expression and see whether it was shocked in a good way or a bad way.
'Shona..' I started to talk but she stopped me.
'William, it's perfect.' She stated and I smiled, I was so happy she likes it.
'I'm glad you think so beautiful.' I responded and lead her over to the table. I pulled her seat out for her and pushed her back in slightly. She smiled a thankful smile and I went and sat down opposite to her.
'So, is this what you expected?' I asked.
'Umm, honestly. It was like after my first kiss, I didn't know what to expect. Its my first date, I didn't know what to expect. But its definitely something that I'll never forget.' She answered.
'Shona, I wanna confess something to you.' I started and she looked worried. 'Its okay, it's nothing bad, it's just something I want you to know.' I tried to reassure her and she looked at me encouragingly trying to get me to continue. 'Okay, so all I wanted to say was that...Shona this is my first proper date too. I mean I've spent time with other girls when I was with them, but I've never been on a real date before. That's why I was so nervous earlier when I came to pick you up and I haven't stopped thinking about now since your mum approved of you going with me.' I confessed and she nodded her head understandingly.
'William. I wouldn't have ever guessed that this was you're first proper date. I mean, I never thought that I would be you're first ever date, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I actually feel really lucky to be the girl that you go your first date with. I honestly couldn't tell that you were nervous earlier because I was probably more nervous than you were.' She confessed also.
'Thanks for understanding beautiful, and I wouldn't wanna take any other girl out on my first date with me. But I honestly don't think that you could ever be as nervous as I was earlier.' I replied.
'Aww thanks William. And I wouldn't wanna go out on my first date with any other guy. But no doubt I was definitely more nervous than you.' She responded.
'Thanks Shona but you're not planning on giving up this fight any time soon are you?' I asked.
'Nope.' She responded with a smile.
'Okay, can we agree that we were equally as nervous then?' I asked.
'Okay, fine.' She gave up.
'Okay, good.' I replied and she smiled. 'Hey, umm, we should look at the menu because I think that the waitress is gonna come in soon.' I stated and she nodded. We both picked up the menus and both choose what we would like to eat. Sure enough the waitress came in shortly after and took our orders.
10 minutes later she came back in with our dinner and said that our dessert would served in 20 minutes. We ate our food and had slight conversation about nothing that great. Our dessert was served afterwards, but we just shared a small lava cake, and it was really good.
'So what do you have planned next for this amazing date?' She asked and I didn't answer. What I did do though was go over to the CD player and pressed the play button. I looked over at Shona and she looked confused.
'William, what are you doing?' She asked and I walked over to her.
'Will you dance with me beautiful?' I asked and she smiled and blushed.
'Sure.' She replied and took my outstretched hand and I helped her to her feet. I moved the table and chairs over slightly so that there was a little bit more room. I turned back to Shona and she looked really nervous.
'You'll be fine beautiful, I know you will be.' I reassured her and kissed her forehead as I put my hands around her waist and she put her arms around my neck in return. We started slow dancing to 'I'll make love to you' by Boys II Men. This was what I've been waiting so long for, my first slow dance with a perfect girl. I can't believe I ever found somebody as amazing and as beautiful and as perfect as her, I still can't believe she's mine. I smiled as she rested her head on my shoulder and I pulled her closer. I felt her smile on my shoulder and nothing could remove the smile from my face.
'Shona, you have no idea how perfect you are to me.' I stated.
'William, you have no idea how perfect you are to me.' She copied me and I laughed.
'Shona, I'm so glad we talked in maths class. I knew if I didn't talk to you then that I wouldn't get another chance. And honestly you do look beautiful to me all the time, but you look extra beautiful tonight.' I informed her and I felt her smile on my shoulder. I guarantee she's blushing right now.
'I'm glad we talked in math class that time too, but I'm sure you would have had another chance. Thanks William, you look extra handsome tonight too.' She replied.
'Thanks beautiful.' I responded.
'No problem William.' She replied.
'Ohh, hey umm, after this dance will you be ready to go to the next location for our date?' I asked.
'Yeah, sure. But are you really taking me somewhere else, I mean here was great enough.' She asked.
'Yes beautiful, I'm making this date as perfect as possible. I'm trying to make it as perfect as you but I'm afraid nothing can be more perfect than you.' I answered and I felt her smile on my shoulder yet again.
'William, this date is perfect already. I didn't know you were going to make it any better. And it is more perfect than me already anyways.' She replied.
'Shona, we really don't need lies on a night like tonight. You are far more perfect than tonight and I know you can't see it but I know I can. You just need to see that everyone is perfect, they just need to be able to see it in themselves. You can't see it in yourself yet but I promise I'm going to be the one who makes you see that okay?' I tried to convince her.
'Thanks William.' She replied as she moved her head off my shoulder. She looked at me and it looked ad though she wanted to kiss me but was hesitant as if she was nervous about doing it. Forget it I'll just kiss her. I pulled her in closer and I began to lean in to kiss her. She leaned in too and I kissed her lips softly. I wasn't going to to anything more than just a simple kiss yet because I could tell she wasn't ready. If she can't give me a little kiss on the lips she definitely wasn't ready for me to kiss her passionately. And because I want that to happen at the right time, and not shock her as much as our first kiss did last weekend at the park.
She smiled as we pulled away and she seemed as though she was wanting to say something but couldn't find the right words.
'What is it beautiful?' I asked.
'I....uhh....I....umm.' She tried to answer.
'Beautiful, please just tell me.' I pleaded.
'I....I was going to kiss you.' She said really quietly looking away.
'I knew you were beautiful. You looked hesitant though so I thought I'd just kiss you. I don't want you to kiss me if you're not comfortable about it okay?' I asked.
'Okay. Thanks William. For everything.' She answered.
'No problem beautiful, I'd do anything for you.' I replied and kissed her cheek. 'Lets get going, alright?' I asked.
'Sure.' She answered faintly.
I went and pressed the button near the door signaling the waitress to come in with the cheque. It wasn't even that expensive and I paid for it then we left together, hand in hand, ready for part 2 of the date.
