Chapter 71

***WILLIAM'S P.O.V***

I started to sing Superhero by Miguel. I really hope Shona take this the right way. She means the world to me and I love her too much to lose her. She's the only girl that I've ever actually loved if you disclude my mum, but I love her in a different way than what I do Shona.

As I begin to sing the chorus I look over at Shona and she is staring at me in what seemed like awe. I smiled at her and she smiled back, at least that's a good sign. I looked back at the crowd and they were all waving their hands in the air. I finished the song sooner than I expected and everyone was cheering and going crazy. I heard Chad and Ryan shout some things from the back and I smiled and thanked everyone before walking off stage and back over to Shona.

'William, that was amazing.' She complimented. 'And it was really sweet.' She continued.

'Thanks beautiful, it was all for you.' I responded and she smiled. 'Me doing this whole competition, was all for you.' I continued.

'What do you mean?' She asked.

'Do you remember that day when you dropped your books on the train and everyone laughed but I helped you pick them up and I then sat next to you?' I asked.

'Yeah, but where is this leading to?' She questioned back.

'Well you were too focused on singing along with your music so we didn't talk. I heard you singing and believe me I was jealous.' I said honestly and she laughed slightly. 'Did you know that's when I first started having a crush on you? That day on the train.' I confessed and she blushed.

'Nope, I never knew that. I think I started crushing on you when you helped me pick everything up because normally noone would do that for me, except you.' She responded shyly and I smiled and cupped her cheek. She looked up at me and bit her lip to stop herself from smiling.

'Don't bite your lip, that's my job.' I stated cheekily and she laughed. I leaned her and kissed her passionately and we both smiled in the kiss which was a first for us. As she pulled away I bit her bottom lip proving my point.

'I told you it was my job.' I stated afterwards and she hit my chest.

'Its not, now can I practice please?' She responded and I smiled.

'Go ahead.' I replied still not going anywhere.

'Come on William, please.' She pleaded with me.

'Kiss me first.' I responded and she smiled then rolled her eyes. She leaned in and pecked me softly on the lips.

'Now please let me practice.' She pleaded again and I decided to let her have her way because I want her to do good.

'Good luck beautiful.' I said before kissing her softly before walking over and sitting with Matthew but still watching Shona.

I looked at Matthew who seemed to be watching Rebecca's performance intently.

'What's up dude. Are you okay?' I asked him.

'Yeah, I'm alright.' He responded.

'Only alright?' I asked.

'Yeah.' He responded.

'Why is that?' I asked again but this time he didn't respond be just looked out at Rebecca.

'What did she do?' I asked half jokingly, half seriously.

'Don't judge me for this bro, but I like her and I told her just before she went to perform and she never said anything to me, she just walked off. I think I've ruined everything.' He answered.

'Dude. Calm down, I'm sure you haven't. You might have just shocked her when you told her because she might not have expected you to say it. She might feel the same way but just didn't know how to react. Stop thinking negatively and try and consider the positive. She might be singing this song to you right now, you don't know. She might like you too but she's just too shy to say. Shona was like that too to start away with but look at us now. Don't worry about it, alright.' I tried to convince him and he looked slightly less worried about it.

'I hope so. Thanks dude.' He replied then continued staring at Rebecca on stage. I looked back at Shona and she was still warming up. When Rebecca finished she went and gave Shona a hug, and then came towards us. Shona got called on stage and she kissed the necklace I gave her before she walked on stage and she smiled at me before the music started. Rebecca came over and asked to talk to Matthew alone and he looked at me as if to say can I and I nodded my head yes. Shona begun singing I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz and a smile instantly appeared on my face. I love this song and she is practically singing it to me, Mann I love her. She done amazing as always and I have no doubt that she will do awesome when we do the duet. She walked off stage towards me and she was smiling massively.

'That was amazing.' I complimented as I pulled her in for a hug. 'I wont give up on us either.' I whispered in her ear and I felt her smile. I kissed her cheek as I pulled away from the hug.

Rebecca and Matthew were called on stage and we wished them luck as they walked past us. Shona and I went and warmed up for our duet together next. Rebecca and Matthew were singing Art Of Love by Guy Sebastian and Jordin Sparks. They were really good, it sounded like the original. The crowd went crazy and they walked off stage happily. Ms James called Shona and I on stage and the crowd roared. We sat down on the chairs we had organised to have in the middle of the stage. The music started playing to No Air by Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks, and everyone went worse crazy. I started to ignore the crowd when Shona started singing and I imagined just her and I in the middle of the stage singing to each other. I never looked away from Shona the whole performance and she only did when she noticed I was singing it directly to her. When we started singing the last chorus we both got up and walked towards each other. We finished the song only being inches away from her and we both smiled as the crowd went crazy and gave us a standing ovation. We looked out at the crowd and Chad, Ryan, Alexis and Niki were standing on their chairs despite the teachers asking them to get down. We thanked everyone and then walked off stage together. Shona hurried for her asthma puffer once we were off the stage and she recovered her breathing shortly afterwards.

'William that was amazing.' She stated as she turned to face me.

'I know. I hope that's not the only chance I get to sing with you.' I responded and she smiled.

'I feel the same with you.' She responded and I smiled.

'If its up to me it wont be.' I responded and she smiled.

'Thanks William, you're amazing.' She stated and leaned in to kiss me. I kissed her back as I pulled her closer and we both smiled in the kiss again. She pulled away from the kiss after a little bit but it didn't bother me. When she gets used to it more she won't pull away so soon.

'I love you William.' She stated.

'I love you too Shona.' I responded and kissed her again, geez I love these moments.....

Hey guys,

Sorry I didn't upload earlier I had to go to the doctors and it would be kinda awkward if my mum was reading a fan fic that I wrote. Im not writing the songs out because it will take up more space and because my all songs deleted from my phone. This time last week I was at the Ipswich show waiting to see The Collective give the performance of a lifetime. How good was COLLECTV last night too guys!!! I'm getting off track now so Im gonna stop. Please vote, comment, fan/follow and share.
