Chapter 38

***WILLIAM'S P.O.V***

Saturday went by pretty slowly and I knew exactly what I was planning with Shona. I hoped that she would really like it and really enjoy herself.

It was now 11:50 and I was just about to leave for Shona's house. I went and got into the car and started driving towards Shona's house. When I got there I waited outside for her to come out and after about 30 seconds she came outside.

'Hey beautiful.' I greeted her.

'Hey William.' She responded as I pulled her into a hug.

'You look amazingly beautiful today Shona.' I informed her and I felt her smile on my shoulder.

'Thank you, you look handsome today too.' She answered.

'Thanks gorgeous.' I responded as I pulled away from the hug. 'Do you wanna get going?' I asked.

'Yeah, if you want.' She answered and I opened the door for her. 'Thanks.' She stated.

'No problem beautiful.' I responded before closing the door then went over and got in the car.

'So, can you tell me where were going yet or do I have to wait and see?' She asked.

'Okay, well. You already know were going to have lunch together. Umm, its about a ten minute walk from the hospital. We aren't gonna dine in when we get some food, because I have the perfect place to take you. And I'm sorry Shona, but that's all the clues you're getting.' I answered smiling at her and she smiled back.

'Okay, I can't think of where you're taking me, but I'm sure it will be amazing.' She responded.

'Alright. Were nearly there though okay?' I asked looking across the bridge where I was planning on taking her.

'Cool.' She responded happily and her face lit up. I found a shady park and turned off the car and looked at Shona.

'Ever been here before beautiful?' I asked and she shook her head no. 'It'll be fine, I come here all the time I know you'll love it.' I reassured her, then got our of the car and went over and opened the door for her.

'Thanks.' She stated.

'No worries beautiful.' I replied, locking the car, taking her hand and leading her towards the large variety of food shops. 'So what do you feel like for lunch?' I asked.

'Umm, I don't know. I kinda feel like something healthy, like a wrap or subway or something.' She answered.

'Subway it is.' I decided and we walked into the nearby subway store. We choose to both go halves and have the same kind of sub.

'That's 18:25 please.' The slightly older lady asked from behind the counter. I paid before Shona had the chance to even get her purse out, and she gave me a look as if to say, 'thank you, but you really shouldn't have.' I rolled my eyes at her and passed her our drinks while I took the sub. I lead her out to the perfect spot, a table under a shady tree, looking out at the water. I smiled at her as I sat down and she smiled back before she sat down beside me.

'It's nice is it?' I asked.

'Yeah, its beautiful.' She agreed.

'Just like you Shona, just like you.' I said while putting my arm around her pulling her closer. She rested her head on my shoulder lightly and I kissed her head. She giggled lightly then looked up at me. 'Yeah?' I asked worried incase I did something wrong.

'Aren't we meant to be eating, not cuddling?' She asked and giggled.

'Yeah, we are, that is why we bought the subway first. Sorry.' I said now laughing too and removing my arms from around her. I passed Shona her half of the sub, and she passed me my drink. We both started eating and there wasn't all that much conversation going, but when it was silent, it was very far from awkward silence.

By the time we had finished, there was more people around. When we got here it was like this place was dead, but now it seems to be attracting more people.

We finished eating and I took all the rubbish over to the nearby bin. As I did this I seen the people I definitely didn't want to see today, Tamika and her two fake followers, great (note the sarcasm). I hope they didn't see me, and I hope they don't try and ruin mine and Shona's time together, no matter what I wouldn't let it happen, not to Shona, she's too special.........
