Chapter 30

***WILLIAM'S P.O.V***

I got in the car and we started driving towards the ice-cream shop and I noticed her texting on her phone.

'What are you doing beautiful?' I asked starting a conversation.

'I am telling my mum that I'm going to get on the train in a minute and then I should be home soon.' She replied.

'Ohh, okay, fair enough.' I replied.

'Yea, so we have about 45 minutes before I need to be home okay? She informed me.

'Cool beautiful. Sounds great.' I responded.

We parked in the exact same parking spit as we have for the last 3 days and we walked over to the ice-creamery together.

'Back again bro?' Fortafy asked.

'Yea Mann. Do you not like us coming in?' I asked.

'Nah, its cool dude. Its just this is the most I've ever seen you come in here, you know?' He responded.

'Yea, well I guess you're gonna have to start getting used to it, we might be coming here alot in the future.' I said putting my arm around Shona's shoulders, hinting to him that we were together.

'Bro, are you seriously together now?' He asked. And I looked down and Shona and looked at me as if to say, 'yea, go ahead tell him, who's he really gonna tell.'

'Yes dude, its official, Shona and I are together now.' I responded.

'Congratz guys. Hope things work out.' He said to both of us.

'Thanks.' Shona and I both answered with a smile.

'So what can I get you guys today? Same as yesterday or something different?' He asked us both.

I looked at Shona and she looked up at me.

'Something different?' I asked her.

'Yes please, what ever you're having though.' She replied.

'Okay, two matching cones please, any flavour except for rainbow.' I ordered.

'Okay, coming right up.' He replied and started making the ice-creams. I got my wallet and payed for the ice-creams. He handed them to us then we went over to the park.

'So, now we both have to think of a song to sing in the next round.' I started a conversation.

'Yeah, I know, I haven't planned ahead so I'm not sure what song I'm going to do. Do you have any ideas?' She asked.

'No, not yet anyways.' I answered.

'When is the next round?' Shona asked.

'Umm, next Friday during first and second class I think.' I answered.

'Okay, cool.' She replied while sitting down at the table and chairs next to me. I finished my ice-cream before she did and I was just watching her.

'Yes?' She asked.

'Ohh, uhh, nothing.' I replied.

'Seriously William. What?' She asked again.

'I'm just looking at this beautiful girl that I can finally call mine.' I answered looking her straight in the eye.

'Aww William, stop.' She responded and blushed bright red.

'Why? Its the truth.' I answered.

'To you it is.' She answered quietly. I just stared at her and she tried to ignore the fact that I was staring. She finished eating her ice-cream then looked at me.

'Yes?' She asked again.

'Shona, why did you say that before?' I asked and she knew exactly what I was talking about, because she looked away trying to avoid answering. 'Shona, please tell me.' I pleaded.

'Because I've been told otherwise.' She answered. Damn, I need to reconvince her and show her that she is beautiful in every kind of way.

'Shona, why do you whoever told yiy that?' I asked.

'Because so many people have told me that.' She answered quietly looking away, avoiding eye contact.

'Shona, please look at me.' I asked her and she looked at me. 'Shona, you need to ignore anyone who has said that to you. They are just jealous of how beautiful you are. Now tell me, are you wearing make up today?' I stated and she shook her head no. 'Okay, so you don't need to wear make up to look beautiful, heaps of other girls you're age are scared to go anywhere without make up caked on their faces. The fact that you can go our without wearing make up makes you so much more beautiful Shona, and you don't understand how beautiful you are to me. You can do what heaps of other girls can't, you can go out in public and not need wear make up. Shona I think you're beautiful in every single way and I can't even say how happy I am to have a girl as perfect as you.' I finished trying to perswade her.

'William. I don't know what to say. Thank you William for saying that about me and thank you for trying to make me think differently about myself, but things aren't going to just change straight away and I hope you can understand that. William I really do thank you for everything you just said about me though, it really is special to me and means alot.' She responded.

'No problem at all beautiful. I'm here whenever you need me.' I responded and lifted her had from the table and kissed her hand gently. She blushed and looked away.

'Ohh hey, what time were you supposed to be home?' She asked.

'Around 5:00, why?' She responded.

'Because we better get going if you wanna get home in time.' I replied.

'Okay, I guess we should go then.' She said getting up from the table. I got up also and we started to walk across the large oval to my car...
