James pressed a kiss to Regulus' forehead, running a hand through the boy's hair before wrapping the invisibility cloak over his body and going back to his dorm for the night.

Humphrey snuggled his face into the crook of Milo's neck (who they managed to sneak into the dorm at least once a day when their other roommates weren't there) and Bailey cuddled into Reg's side, his arm around her shoulders. Nobody spoke for a while, the gushes of late-night wind slamming against the windows.

Humphrey was the first to speak, shocking the other three in the room, he was usually the quiet one nowadays.

"Y'know, after Hogwarts I was going to run away to Erin's house so that I wouldn't have to join You-Know-Who. I was going to bring all of you with me as well. She even agreed to it! That's why your room was already set up, Reg..." He sighed.

"You're not joining them, Humphrey. Nor are you Bailey." Regulus replied in a stern tone.

"Nor are you, Regulus." It was Bailey this time. Milo nodded in agreement.

"None of you are." Milo looked so brave. So sure. "If nothing goes to plan, you can all come to stay with me and my grandfather."

"That's a very kind offer, Mi. Thank you." Bailey smiled warmly at him, still in Reg's arms.

When the heart gets too heavy with pain, some people don't cry, they become silent, completely silent. Sometimes they just have to stay silent, because no words can explain the terrifying thoughts in their minds.

"We'll always be together, right? You're going to stay with me? You are the best things that have ever happened to me and I don't think I'll make it without you." Humphrey asked, randomly.

"What a stupid question," Milo answered, pulling the shorter boy onto his lap and hugging him to his chest, "I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to love you every single day, until the day I die, and for many days after that. I'll always love you, no matter what happens between us, okay?" Regulus could feel the smile on his expression as Humphrey blushed and hid his face in Milo's hair.

"As your sister," Bailey began next, "I can't promise to solve all of your problems, but I can assure you that you won't have to face them alone. I'm not going to leave you, because if I ever did, I'd have lost my best friend, my platonic soulmate, my laugh, my smile, my everything."

Humphrey left Milo for a few minutes as he stood to hug his sister, her kissing the top of his head before he sat back with his boyfriend.

Finally, it was Regulus' turn, but he could not think of a heartwarming thing to say as his other friends had.

"I'm sorry, Humph. I have no idea what to tell you. All I know is that you're not getting rid of me for a long, long time." The blonde boy chuckled and moved over to hug him. It was one of those long hugs where you kind of forget whatever else is happening around you for a minute. One hug from the right person can take away all of your stress, and that was exactly how the two boys needed it at that time.
