"I'm bored," Humphrey stated, dropping his head dramatically down onto Regulus' lap. It wasn't in a whiny tone, he wasn't complaining, he was simply pointing it out.
"Then do something." Regulus rolled his eyes, barely at the boy before moving his eyes back over to the pages of his book.
"Well, obviously." He sassed, "I just don't know what to do."
"Then think of something to do." Regulus knew that he was being firm, he just didn't have time for distractions. During that moment, he was going through one of his Potions books, memorising as much information and as many helpful facts as possible for his and Milo's upcoming study meetup. Ever since Milo had been moved down in Potions, he hadn't stopped pestering Humphrey to ask Regulus if he would tutor him. He had been allowed permission to use James' invisibility cloak to get into the Ravenclaw common room - after many persuasive kisses - and Regulus had sworn to keep it as safe as possible.
"Fine, you can have it. But don't you dare lose it, Reggie. I'm not joking. It's only invisible when it is on someone, so it shouldn't be easy to lose."
"What's he complaining about?" Bailey sighed, collapsing into one of the armchairs, a box of tissues in one hand and a separate tissue being pressed against her nose. She was supposed to be getting better.
"He's bored. Entertain him, please." Regulus grumbled, giving a brief glance at her red and stuffy face before swiftly turning back to the words in front of him so that he would not be caught staring.
"Oh, well, you can help me with something, then, Humph." Humphrey's head swung up from the patch of carpet that he had been incredibly interested in looking at.
"Yeah? What?"
"Writing a letter to Mother! Woop! Woop!" She cheered, sarcastically, waving her arms around in the air with a sense of fake excitement. Humphrey's expression dropped and he groaned in displeasure.
"You're kidding me! No, way!"
"C'mon, Humphrey. We need to do it sooner or later. We're golden children, remember? And since neither of us has anything of real importance to do right now, we might as well get it over with." Her brother wanted to argue but he knew that she had a very strong point, there was nothing he could say in his own defence.
"Fine."
The twins made their way up to the boys' dorm, since Humphrey could not enter the girls', leaving Regulus alone with his book. Only eight students found themselves in the room that afternoon. The Slytherin common room was never busy, the highest number of people that would be in there at a time was around 20 to 25 - it wasn't the most pleasant place to be, not with the cold temperature and glass ceilings. The people there weren't particularly nice either.
"Reggie." Speaking of.
"What do you want, Crouch?" Regulus grabbed his bookmark and slid it within the two pages so that he could close the book and place it on the table beside him. "Haven't you got any first years to torment?"
