Less than an hour later, the two Black brothers were sat under a large tree, overlooking the lake. It was a bit chilly, but easily bearable. The sun had set long ago and their only light came from the moon above.

"Full moon tomorrow." Regulus pointed out, staring up at the beautiful, glowing ball. It was odd to think that some people feared such a mesmerising thing, Reg loved it. The moon had been a comforting thing for him as a child. No matter how bad your day was, the moon would always be there to talk to when night came.

"Yeah..." Sirius breathed out, watching his cloud of breath float into the dark. He chuckled, breathing deeper so that it would mist up in the cold temperature. Regulus laughed quietly, shoving him in the side. "Like magic."

"It's not magic, it's science." The older brother turned his head slightly to look at him with furrowed eyebrows. "The misty, cloudy shit. It's science not magic."

"Since when was 'the misty, cloudy shit' a scientific term?" Regulus tried to keep a straight face, but failed when Sirius began to wiggle his eyebrows. He broke into a grin and held his breath so that he wouldn't laugh too loud.

Reg pulled his coat tighter around himself as an icy breeze sent shivers down his spine, Sirius doing the same. The two found themselves engrossed in silence, focusing on their own, separate thoughts. Regulus loved it, it was peaceful and calm and homely but the feeling didn't last for long.

"So you're not going back for Christmas, then?" Sirius pondered, twisting his neck to look back at his sibling. Reg hummed in acknowledgment, a small smile creeping its way on to his lips. "Then there's Summer..."

All the calmness and peace drained from his body as he took in those last three words. He was right, then it was Summer, and he'd have to go back again.

"Sorry." He mumbled, noticing how his words had effected Regulus. "I hate to ask, but you do know why Burger and Onion-" Reg raised his hand to his mouth to muffle his giggles, causing Sirius to grin. "You know why they're busy, don't you?"

"Yeah..." Of course he knew. His parents couldn't have made it any more obvious. They'd been invited to a meeting with the Dark Lord. "What- what if in the Summer they-"

"NO!" Sirius snapped, before allowing his face to soften. "I'm sorry, just- just don't think like that, alright? I won't let them do that to you, they can't force you to get the mar-"

"That's the thing, Siri! They can force me!"

"Not if you run away!" He seethed through gritted teeth, his face only inches away from Regulus'. He placed a hand on his older brother's chest and lightly pushed him back.

"I can't. I've already tried once and here we are!" Sirius gave up, letting out a huff and leaning back against the tree.

"Whatever you do," Sirius began, his voice cracking, "You're still my brother."

Reg could feel tears prickling in his eyes, begging to fall, but he wouldn't let them. Silence found its way back to them once again, the only sounds being the rare hoot of a owl and the rippling water in front of them.

They didn't know how much time had passed but it had to have been way past curfew already and so Regulus almost jumped out of his skin when Sirius spoke.

"I got you a date." He said, not looking at him.

"You- you what?!"

"I got you a date. Lovely chap. You'll like him." Regulus sat up from his slouch, glaring into the back of his head.

"Who? When? Where? I- what?"

"Not telling. Tomorrow. Hogsmead entrance. And I've said this two times already, I got you a date."

"SIRIUS!"

"What?"

"I- you- URGH!" He dropped his head into his hands, groaning. I mean, maybe it would help him to get over James...this could be a good thing...maybe....

***

"Hey, B." Regulus grinned sleepily as Bailey opened her bedroom door.

"What do you want? It's bloody midnight!"

"Wait really? Sorry...I thought it was like ten or something...anyways, this is over." She gave him a questioning look, clearly confused. "This relationship thing."

Her mouth formed an 'O' and she nodded slowly. "Okay. Now go to bed, I need my beauty sleep."

"Fine. G'night, Bay."
