Regulus sat silently at the Slytherin table, watching as MacDonald rested her head comfortably on James' shoulder for the 5th time that day. The pair had been dating for a week now, a long, painful week. Well, that was how it was for Reg, surely James had found the week absolutely thrilling. All that hugging and hand holding and cuddling and flirting and- and- URGH. All Regulus wanted to do was talk to him, but where ever James went, MacDonald followed. She was like a lost fucking puppy!

Yes, alright, it wasn't Mary's fault. But it wasn't James' either, nor Regulus'.

Someone clicking their fingers in front of his face broke him out of his thoughts.

"You're doing it again." Humphrey muttered into his ear.

"Doing what?" The blonde boy sighed, rolling his eyes at Regulus' idiocy.

"Staring at him." Reg pushed his plate away from him, allowing Humphrey to take his bagel that lay uneaten.

"I don't know what to do. I shouldn't be jealous, he isn't even mine. I'm just being stupid." No reply. "I don't know what to do anymore." He whispered, his voice breaking.

"You might not know, but I think I do." Regulus looked over at him skeptically.

"Well? Go on then." Humphrey's eyes trailed over to the newly found couple but then slowly over at Bailey. "No, n-no way. She's my bestfriend!"

"It doesn't have to be real! If you tell her what's going on then she'll agree to it!"

"How do you know she'll agree?"

"'Cause she's my sister. I know these things." Reg dragged his fingers through his black curls, thinking carefully.

"I don't know...I- I'll think about it." Humph smiled widely before turning his focus over to the brown haired boy sat at the Ravenclaw table, his head hung over a piece of homework. That's when Humphrey's smile faded.

"It's scary, mate. Really, really scary...." Milo's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he scribbled out his incorrect answer. "But I think it's worth it....no, I don't think. I know, it's worth it."

"I'll think about it." He whispered one last time before making his way out of the hall and into his potions class.

"Ahh, Mr Black. Early I see?" Slughorn stated looking up at the clock. Regulus followed his line of view and saw that he was in fact, 10 minutes early. "May I ask how your tutoring sessions are going with young Mr Potter?"

"Oh- umm, great. They're going great." He stuttered, taking a potions textbook, some parchment and a quill out from his bag and placing them on to his desk. He sat himself down quickly and began on the work Slughorn had already written on the chalkboard. The quicker he finished the written work, the quicker he could get out.

To be completely honest, James hadn't turned up to those tutor sessions on Tuesday or Saturday. According to Lupin, James was 'too busy'. Yea right, too busy softening up to MacDonald. Both of those evenings, Regulus sat alone in the library hoping that James might turn up, but of course, why would he? Why would he, when he could spend that time with MacDonald? Mary was much more important to James than a stupid study session with Regulus.
