By the time Regulus had finished quizzing James, it was already 8:45. They were supposed to have finished 15 minutes ago but James didn't mind, I mean, he really needed the help.

He watched Regulus' little yawn with a grin. Why did his best friend's brother have to be so fucking adorable?

"Enjoying the view, Potter?" Reg teased, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Hey! That's my line! You can't steal my lines!" James whisper shouted, keeping as quiet as possible so that they weren't kicked out of the library. The giggle that came from Regulus in that moment gave James' a weird fluttery feeling in his stomach. Butterflies? Wasn't that the muggle saying?

Reggie stood up slowly, pulling all the sheets of parchment and books into a pile. "So, how was your first lesson?" James laughed before starting to help the younger boy with the tidying up.

"It was utterly spiffing. When's the next lesson?"

"Saturday. Same place, same time."

"Saturday?! But that's ages away!" He pouted, childishly.

"It's 4 days away, James. It's not that long." A very long sigh came from James after that reply.

"Can we pleaseeeee hang out before then? Pretty pleaseee?" Regulus turned towards the bookshelves to put the textbook away, causing James to have to follow after him.

"Why would you want to do that?" That was a very fair question. Why did he want to? He wasn't just going to stand there and tell Reggie all about the butterflies he felt when they were together, or the way his smile warmed his heart, that would be extremely embarrassing for not only him, but Regulus as well. 'Errr, shit. Just make up an excuse or something.' He thought to himself.

"I want to reread Romeo and Juliet, but you have it so I can't." Regulus raised an eyebrow, reaching up on his tiptoes.

"I could just-" He let out a groan of frustration when he couldn't reach the correct shelf. James chuckled at him before taking the book and easily putting it back into its place.

"You were saying?"

"I could just give you the book, we don't have to hang out for that."

"But you said you wanted to finish it." Where the fuck was he going with this?

"I do." They made their way out of the library and began the short walk down the corridor.

"So then, don't give it to me."

"James, you're going to have to be more straight with me. I don't know what the bloody hell you're going on about." The taller boy nudged him in the side with his elbow.
