Sitting in the kiddie pool with Malik, I smiled as he clearly enjoyed himself. Deciding to come to the water park as soon as it opens was the best decision for this day. There were little to no one here and we were enjoying the rides line free so to speak.
"Here you go babe?"
Looking up, I smiled and took my drink from Xander as he sat next to me.
"How's he going?"
"This boy is such a water baby." I laughed.
"That's good."
"Mhmm. I'm going to get him in a swim class. Day and Lani are already in swimming so it's only right."
"Yup. Y'all all set for later?"
"For the most, yes. Day just has her hair appointment for one and then it's home to get ready."
"She knows how's she's doing her hair?"
"Rebraiding. She's transitioning back to her natural hair she says."
"Nice."
"I think so too and I have to thank Naima and Evanna."
"They talked her into it."
"Not really. They have their natural hair and it silently influenced her to do the same."
"And you?"
"I've been thinking about doing the big chop."
"Really?"
"Mhmm."
Looking at him stare at me with conviction, he nodded in approval.
"I can see it. You'd like fine as always too."
"Awe." I kissed his cheek.
"Momma, slide."
Putting my attention on Malik, he walked through the water and came over to us. Taking his hand, I walked over to the slide and went up the stairs, sitting with him on my lap, I pushed myself down, holding him tightly. Laughing at his excitement as we came down,
Squealing as we splashed into the pool, he kept repeating to go again. Going over a couple more times, we decided to try a slightly bigger one, this time with Xander behind me.
Holding up his GoPro, he captured every single moment, including Malik while under water. Laughing as he came up from under the water, he wiped his face and exhaled.
"Hungry bub?"
Looking up at me, he nodded yes. Lifting him, I sat him on my hip.
"I'll keep an eye on Day and Lani." Xander told me.
"Thank you babe."
Sharing a kiss, I walked over to where our stuff were, got my wallet and made my way to the concession stand. Ordering something for everyone, I held the juice box while Malik drank from the straw.
