"So yea baybeh, me and Tee Tee Misty just got some shit ta work out and we'd let ya know fa sure when we see ya at tha barbeque this weekend aight."

"Ok unc and thanks so much."

"No problem love."

Getting off tha phone with Amaiya I knew she was excited ta know which of tha spots she was gon get.

Honestly, both of them were great, but tha second one was tha one she deserved. Noonie shocked us all with ha accomplishments and she earned that building. It was only after speaking with Cha that tha spot was right across from Chay's practice.

Tha summer was almost over and I was yet ta see ma first niece. I get that she has ha own life being twenty six an all'lat but she ain't ever not spend time with tha family before so I really didn't like or should I say appreciate that.

She been with this lah boy fa a minute now and I mean he was aight. He has his shit going fa him but he just seemed ta distract ha from what's important.

"Dad!"

"Yea?"

Nai came walking through into ma studio with this lah bounce in ha step, that only meant one thing.

"We gotta go shopping for my sleepover."

"Did you and ya momma do that already?"

"No. We only got stuff for tha barbeque."

"So why yeen ask ha?"

"I did but she said she isn't feeling well." She shrugged.

"Watchu mean she ain't feeling well?" I got up out ma chair.

We been back in Atlanta bout two days now, maw stayed behind in NOLA ta relax and get ha pressure and shit right.

"I don't know, that's what she told me."

I made ma way ta our room with New hot on ma heels.

"So are we going?" She asked.

"Yea we'll go. Go get ready, let me check on ya momma."

"Ok cool"

As she ran off, I walked into me and Misty's room. She had tha air condition blowing cold as fuck as she was wrapped up in our bed.

"Baybeh?"

"Mmm."

Sitting in front of ha, I rubbed ha back.

"What's wrong, Nai said yeen feeling good?"

"My period came." She sighed as she looked at me."And the cramps are killing me."

I rubbed ma hands down ma face when she said that. I had thought for sure that she would have gotten pregnant from our session two weeks ago.

"Aight, ya want or need anything?"

"Can you lay with me for a bit."

"I had told sweet pea that I would take ha to get ha stuff fa tha sleepover."

"Oh ok, well when you get back."

"Aight ma." I kissed ha. "Call me if ya need anything."

"Mhmm"

Kissing ha onha forehead, I changed ma cloths and got my keys and phone.

"Naima let's make this quick cuz ya momma really ain't feeling good."

"Ok dad." She came out tha house.

I set tha alarm and locked up before we got in and left.
