Misty

"Here you go ma'am."

Looking up from my iPad, I smiled as I saw my waiter place my lunch before me.

"Thank you." I returned a smile.

"Do enjoy."

Taking a sip of my wine, I then bowed my head and said a light prayer, blessing my food.

"Amen."

Twirling my fork in my pasta, I ate some of my shrimp scampi as I looked out the window of Olive Garden.

I'd been out all morning getting materials for a project Nai had to do. Its like every week its something new.

"Everything good over here?"

"Oh yes." I nodded at my waiter.

I knew he was being this helpful because he knew who I was.

To say things at home has changed since what I told Aug last Saturday, well its getting there.

When we got back from dinner, while Nai slept, we sat out in the back yard and spoke. He reassured me that he was going to be around more and include me in things with him and Nai, but I told him he didn't have too.

I know it sounds weird because I blew up on him for it, but its just that I would like to be in the loop of things rather than finding out unexpectedly.

"So you couldn't call a bitch for lunch?"

Looking up Maggie stood in front of me.

"Oh hi babe." I smiled as I got up and hugged her.

"Hi. Mind if I join you?"

"Of course." I laughed. "And I'm sorry I didn't call, just figured you and Sarah would be busy."

"Well I don't know about Sarah but I had some errands to run so that's why I'm out."

Not even having too, my waiter came back over and attended to Maggie.

"I'll have a large piece of lasagna with extra cheese and marinara and a bottle of your best red wine." She said instantly.

I was a bit taken a back by her request because I know Maggie only ate like that when she was stressed.

"Ok ma'am." He nodded and walked off.

"Mag are you-"

" I need a girls weekend Mist." She let out.

"What happened?" I asked concerned.

"Girl they're driving me crazy in that house and Kevin isn't helping."

"What you mean?"

"Evanna and KJ keep going at it over the dumbest shit and he just let's them. If I'm not working, I'm home trying to keep some kind of peace and Kevin like I don't know how but he just tunes it out."

"He tunes it out?"

"Yes, like I don't know how he does it. Don't get me wrong, Kevin helps around the house. He cooks, clean all of that, but when it comes to raising our children, he let's them do what they want and that's the part that gets to me. We've gotten into it so many times over that."

I was somewhat surprised by what she was saying and she was right about how Kev was with those children.

"Here you go ma'am?"

"Thank you." She nodded as he poured her wine and topped up mines.

"You don't need a girls weekend Maggie, you need to talk to Kevin."
