Misty

"So wait." I stopped Sarah. "They were arguing in the car park?"

"From the monitor inside,it seemed that way but when I got out there, they were just standing there."

Having breakfast, Sarah was telling me about what she noticed with Jayda two days ago in the car park.

"Just standing there?"

"Yea. You know how when you and Aug get into it then to butter your ass up he would just stand looking down in your eyes." She smirked as she sipped on her coffee.

"Why not just throw the whole damn tree Sarah." I rolled my eyes.

"What? Its true though."

"He don't"

She paused and looked at me.

"Whatever." I looked off to the side.

"I don't know why you try to deny it." She laughed.

"Back to Jayda." I rediverted the topic. "So you think its a boyfriend?"

"I don't know, but they looked like they have something going on."

"I wonder if that's what she meant with her Thanksgiving plans."

"Could be." Sarah responded. "But honestly Mist." She continued. "You and Aug helping her, but do y'all even know her?"

"What you mean?"

"I mean, she could be a little scam artist or something, not saying that she is."

"C'mon now Sarah." I shook my head.

"I'm just saying. Like she is too good to be true."

"She's a focused young girl whose been through a lot."

"Yea but that's all we know."

"And that's all we need to know Sarah. Look, I get that you're concerned but its not even our business. Aug and I, including you decided to help her out, if Aug had any kind of feeling he would have said and not assist."

"You're right. I guess I'm just over thinking shit."

"Yup."

Changing the conversation, I just ignored her speculation. I for one didn't think Jayda was playing me and Aug and I know Sarah would only insinuate something if she had a feeling but what I was going to do was stay alert and observe everything.

"So." She began. "Thanksgiving dinner." She smiled.

"Mhmm" I hummed as I drank my drink. "I so glad we're all doing it together."

"I know right. Its been so long since we've done thanksgiving together."

"Yup and everyone is coming basically."

"Oh boy!"

"What?"

"Are we going to get a round two of your birthday?"

"No we're not." I shook my head.

"So they're speaking to each other?"

"No." I sighed. "Chandra said Noonie is focused on the gallery and she keeps to herself. Whenever Chay comes by she either goes to her room or leaves the house."

"Damn."

"I know. So I'm hoping they can make up for thanksgiving."

"Me too. I mean they were so close when they were younger."
