"Naima Melody Alsina!!! This tha last time I'm callin ya!!!"

"Five more minutes daddy, please!"

"No Nai, get up or ya ass gon be late on ya first day!" I said pulling back ha covers.

Nai laid thea on ha stomach, one leg hanging on tha bed like it was no ones business.

"Lah girl I ain't playing witchu. Get up and get ready."

"But daddy I'm tired." She whined!

"I don't care. If you had went to bed when ya momma and I had said rather than staying up watching TV ya ass would be tired now get up!"

I held ha by ha ankles pulling ha and in true Naima style, she just laid thea letting all ha weight go as she was dragged.

"Ya know what" I let ha go. "I ain't going through this another term. Keep in mind Christmas is three months away and ya lah tantrums ain't gon work this time." I warned ha before walking out.

"Urghhh!" I heard ha let out before leaving the room.

Walking back into me and ma wife's room, I got my clothes together, mumbling.

"She still sleeping?" Misty asked.

"Talking bout she tired. Bet ya we take all them shit out ha room and she go to sleep on time during the school week."

"You sound like your mother."she laughed.

"Man don't say that shit." I tried to fight my laugh but failed.

"Come with me." She got up from lotioning her legs.

Making our way back to Nai's room, she was in the same position I had left her in.

"Nai, sweet pea!" Misty called her so calmly.

"Mmm." She groaned with her head below her pillow.

"So seeing as how you're gonna be late for school, daddy and I decided to let you stay home."

"Thank God." She said muffled.

"But we won't be here and the power is gonna be out for the day so that means the house will be hot, no TV, or WiFi. Plus the pool will be cleaning today as well so that's out of the question and we don't really have anything in the house to eat. But hey, I'm sure you will survive." She patted her on her back before getting up.

"Wait what?"

That was all we heard then Nai got up and went straight into her bathroom.

"Gotta hit em where it hurts." Misty smiled as we walked out.

"See why I fucking love you!" I snatched her up making her squeal out. "Hol'up." I put her down. "We really ain't got anything to eat in this house?"

"We do but not much. I got errands to run today."

"Like what?"

"Grocery, bills to pay then gotta straighten up here."

"Mommy mode huh?"

"Yup. What you gotta do?"

"Got studio with a couple artist then gotta head over to Triple A Apparel to approve some new designs. That should take me till Nai gets out of school."

"Ok."she nodded.

"Wanna have lunch today?"

"Would you be able to fit that in, I don't want you to take away any of your time."
