Best Day Ever

Team RWBEY was sitting together as Blake looked over some notes. Yang then slid up next to her partner.

"Whatcha doing?"

"Nothing." Blake closed her book. "Just going over notes from last semester."

Yang caught a grape in her mouth.

"Lame."

Nora giggled as she continued to toss grapes at Yang with her spoon. Yang caught the fruit with ease, giving Nora the thumbs up.

"How come we need to drink water to live when other things hydrate us?"

"Eclipse."

"Yeah?"

"Just finish the water bottle."

"Ok..."

Ruby, giving an enormous heave, slammed a binder onto the table, catching everyone off guard. On the cover of the binder was written "Vytal Festival Activities, Property of Weiss Schnee". This had been hastily crossed out with a red marker pen, and with the same pen, a new title, "Best Day Ever Activities", had been written underneath.

Ruby cleared her throat, She gestured to everyone at the table. "Siblings... friends... Weiss."

"Hey!"

"Four score and seven minutes ago, I had a dream."

"This ought to be good." Eclipse and Yang commented before Yang caught another berry in her mouth.

"A dream that one day, the four of us will come together, as a team, and have the most fun anyone has ever had... ever!"

"Did you steal my binder?"

Ruby made peace signs with both hands. "I am not a crook."

"What are you talking about?" Blake asked.

"I'm talking about kicking off the semester with a bang!" She pointed her finger at Blake.

"I always kick my semesters off with a Yang!" The blonde joked. "Eh? Guys? Am I right?"

An apple was tossed at Yang and hit her in the face. She glared at Nora. Eclipse smacked her in the back of the head, Yang punching her arm in retaliation.

"Boooooooooooooooo!" Nora yelled.

"Look guys, it's been a good two weeks and between more exchange students arriving and the tournament at the end of the year, our second semester is going to be great!" Ruby exclaimed. "But, classes start back up tomorrow! Which is why I've taken the time to schedule a series of wonderful events for us today."

"I don't know whether to be proud or scared of what you have in store," Weiss said.

Yang, still glaring, picked up an apple and tossed it across the room. From another table, an unfamiliar voice shouts "Hey!" and Nora was heard giggling.

"I don't know," Blake said unsurely. "I think I might sit this one out."

"Sit out or not, I think that however we spend this last day, we should do it as a team!" Weiss said.

"I got it!" Nora shouted positively.

"I for one think that..." Weiss was interrupted by a pie landing on her face.

Nora was shown to be the one who threw the pie, she sat down and pointed at Ren who had his head in his palm. Pyrrha's hand was over her mouth and Jaune simply sat staring wide-eyed while covering his ear with his palm.

"Well, this'll be fun."

"Food fight!"

Many students stampeded out the door past Sun and Neptune, the latter of whom was looking quite worried.

"Ahahahaha!" Nora laughed.

Team JNPR were standing atop a tower of tables stacked in a ramshackle manner.

"I'm queen of the castle! I'm queen of the castle!" Nora yelled in a singsong voice.

Ruby stomped her foot on a table and pointed at Team JNPR. "Justice will be swift! Justice will be painful!" She crushed a carton of milk in her hand. "It will be delicious!"

Team RWBEY raised their fists simultaneously. "Yeah!"

"Off with their heads!" Nora yelled.

She jumped down from the top of her tower, and the food fight began.

"Yang! Turkey!"

Yang rolled over to the turkeys and stuck her fists inside them, proceeding to block and punch the melons as they sped toward her. After some fighting, Nora knocked Weiss into a pillar. The impact knocked her out and Eclipse ran to catch her in her arms as the pillar collapsed around them.

"Princess! Don't leave me!" Eclipse yelled dramatically. "Nooo!"

The fighting resumed, ending with JNPR slammed against a cracked wall painted with soda and food. Team JNPR slid off the wall, leaving only their outlines.

"I love these guys."

Neptune was drenched with soda and was not pleased. The doors behind them opened and Glynda entered the room growling. She proceeded to use telekinesis to re-organize the room.

"Children, please." The blonde woman adjusted her glasses. "Do not play with your food!"

Nora burped loudly as both Team JNPR and Team RWBEY tried and failed to compose themselves. A screaming Yang then crashed from the ceiling into one of the tables. Glynda grumbled. Ozpin approached and placed a hand on her shoulder.

The teens failed to hear what they said as they started talking and laughing again.

"It's nice to see you smiling again Princess." Eclipse smiled at her.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes but kept smiling all the same. "We should all get cleaned up again."

"We can do that later." Eclipse looked back over at the rest of the group with a toothy grin. "For now, let's just enjoy the moment."
