Two Illusions, One Family

Oscar pulled out The Long Memory and ran at the woman but she summoned a spear blocking him.

A fiery and very familiar spear...

Cinder?!

She smirked and slashed at him but he blocked her.

It was like a fencing match as they tried to strike the other to win. He swung it at her arm making her stumble slightly before using her spear to slash at his arm drawing blood.

A blast hit her in the back knocking her to the ground and Oscar looked up to see Apollo glowing gold. She turned to see the heir and growled before using her Semblance to trap him against the wall.

"Apollo!"

"Bitch, just wait until I get free, I will scalp you!"

While Oscar was distracted Cinder swept his legs out from under him then stabbed her spear into one of them and Apollo screamed.

"Quiet, heir, I'm not even done."

"Leave him alone!"

"I suppose it would be easier to get your family if it were you." She let her spear dissolve and pushed Oscar away before taking Apollo with his hands behind his back and put a scimitar to his throat.

"You're making a mistake coming for a weapons family."

"Your sister made a mistake assuming I was dead."

After hearing him, Weiss, Whitley, and Eclipse ran for the stairs trying not to trip over themselves as they rushed to the basement. A blonde woman with green eyes stood behind Apollo holding a fiery scimitar to his throat.

The adults had already gotten there and Esteban was struggling against his restraints while Oscar was clutching his leg. It seemed that before they got down there the woman had already done some damage.

"Ah the rest of the heirs have finally come down."

"It can't be..." Weiss said, staring at the weapon that almost killed her. "You died."

"Nothing's permanent ice queen." Cinder smirked and the illusion faded away, revealing her real self. "One step closer and I'll kill him right here, right now. We just want the relic and the Rose."

"Our apologies but that won't be happening." Zeus said, holding himself back from using his Semblance. "Now let go of my son before I give another scar."

"You think I'm afraid of some idiotic businessman?"

"Let go of me you–" Esteban was cut off by her summoning more fiery ribbons to cover his mouth.

The Kamiyas were glaring daggers at her as the boys struggled in her hold. Unbeknownst to them Whitley was doing the same.

He gritted his teeth at the sight of his first and only friend trying to hide his panic. He clenched his fists and...

A glyph appeared next to Cinder and he knocked her against the wall freeing Apollo.

"Weiss?"

"That wasn't me." She shook her head. "Whitley, how did you—"

But he wasn't paying attention to his new Semblance; he just ran to Apollo.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah thanks."

"It's the least I could do after all these years."

"She's only dazed. Dad, would you like to handle this one?"

"My pleasure."

Zeus' eyes glowed the color of embers as a wave of lava wrapped around her torso and hardened into magma, completely trapping her.
