Qrow tended to like bars much more than clubs. Bars were less crowded, the whiskey was better, and it wasn't filled with young 20 year olds and teenagers who snuck in with fake ids.

Yet here he found himself stopping by Junior's club to get a quick drink and fill up his flask before going on his way.

The bartender wasn't Junior but instead a kid who seemed to be barely a high school junior.

She also looked like she crawled out of hell and was capable of killing a man.

"Are you old enough to work here?"

"Are you young enough to be here?" She countered as she finished making another drink. She slid it across the counter to a girl and winked. "There you go, gorgeous."

The girl giggled and left with the drink and a flustered smile on her face.

Qrow looked back at the one manning the counter.

"You gonna order something or just stare like a creep?"

"Strongest thing you've got."

"How long are you staying in here 'cause the strongest thing I make can have you passed out in the corner half an hour later."

"I think I'll take my chances, kid."

"Don't call me kid. The people 'round here call me Moonshine."

"Moonshine like the drink?"

"Yep."

"I think I'll call you Queenie."

"Not on the list but whatever old man."

"Hey, um, is there anything you need?" Another girl, pale with black hair and dressed in blue, came up to her.

"Perfect timing, doll. I'm out of vodka, could you go in the back and grab me some?"

"Of course!"

"You're the best!"

"You seem pretty popular with the ladies. How old are you again?"

"15."

"15?"

"Yeah. Turning 16 in a few months but I don't like being one of those people who say what age they almost are instead of just answering the damn question."

"What's a 15 year old doing working here?"

"Gotta put a roof over my head somehow."

The girl came back holding a large bottle of vodka and handed it to Queenie. She set it on the counter and kissed the girl on the cheek.

"Thanks, Sweets. Your sisters are calling for you by the way."

"Ugh. It's no problem, Moonshine." She grinned and walked off to her, probably, older sisters.

"Anyways, my check goes partially into the room I'm renting here and then into anything else that I need."

"An orphan?"

"In a sense." A glass slipped from the counter behind her but she caught it with some sort of shadow without even looking back. Yeah, definitely a 76% chance that she came from hell. "Bad luck?"

"You could say that."

This wasn't the place for a kid, regardless of her clear skill. And clear demonic traits.

He'd probably sound like a creepy old man saying this but, "Do you wanna come live with me?"

"A random alcoholic I just met and don't even know the name of? No thanks." She slid a colorful drink across the bar to him. "Your drink."

"This doesn't look like whiskey."

"If you mix orange with pink is it still just orange?" She wiped her hands off with a towel and looked toward the stairs. "My shift's done! Switch!"

Nothing.

Qrow watched in amusement as she went from indifferent to irritated.

"Yo chico, it's your shift! Get your sorry ass out here! Vamo vamo!"

A (much taller) muscular man walked out of the hallway. He looked down at her...

"I've still got another 5 minutes. I'm tired."

"Did I fucking ask?" ...but it seemed like she was the one in charge. "I'm clocking out, that means you're clocking in. Now, would you rather deal with me or some alcoholics?"

"Alright, alright, I've got it."

"Finally." She gave him the towel and made her way to the stairs.

"Hey Queenie!" She turned back to him and caught the extra lien. "Name's Qrow."

"Irony. Hasta luego!"

Author got kinda bored and also just felt like showing how they met 👍🏾

Bartender Eclipse fits too well for me to let it be just another one liner.

Also for those who don't know, moonshine is a very strong alcoholic drink that is usually made or distributed illegally and was originated in the us (according to websites so don't @ me) because of course it is.

Alright buenos días, buenos tardes, buenas noches and bye!
