The Winter Maiden

"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"If Violet trusts him then we should hear him out."

Weiss was leading the group through the halls of Atlas Academy, the others (mainly Ruby and Nora) looking around in awe of the pillars. She had only been there a few times considering she chose to leave Atlas for her Huntsmen education but she remembered the layout easily.

"Does Violet also have trust issues?" Yang asked.

"Also?"

"Yeah, like you and your girlfriend?"

"Eclipse isn't my girlfriend."

"Then how'd you know who I was talking about?"

Weiss paused and looked back at Yang, clearly annoyed. "Who else do you constantly refer to as my girlfriend?"

"Fair."

"His office is right up here," she said, facing forward again. "I didn't know Violet really went through with being a Huntress though..."

"What do you mean?" Blake asked.

"I mean, she always wanted to do whatever I did, so when I said I wanted to be a Huntress, she said the same," Weiss said. "But when I went to Beacon, I thought she might've given up on that."

"Well she sounds codependent," Eclipse said.

"You're one to talk, you cling onto me whenever you get the chance."

"Sure."

They finally got to the office and Ruby sped up to it and knocked. Weiss sighed. "Did you really need to?"

"Absolutely!" Ruby cheered.

Ironwood opened the door and smiled slightly when he saw them. "Come in, I've been waiting for you."

They walked in to see the white haired girl, Violet, standing next to his desk. She smiled when she saw Weiss and came up to her.

"It's been so long." She hugged her. "I missed you."

"I missed you too." Weiss smiled.

Eclipse cleared her throat making them break apart. "You needed us for something, Ironwood?"

"Ah yes." He nodded and sat back at his desk. "Before that though I have some questions for you."

"Shoot."

"How much do you know about Ozpin?"

Yang scoffed. "More than he would have ever told us."

"Meaning?"

"Everything."

"Well that will make this easier," Ironwood said. "Do you know about Relics?"

"Yes sir." Ruby nodded.

Ironwood sighed. "Okay then I'm assuming you have one."

One... should we say we have two?

"Two actually," Jaune said.

Well I guess that's that.

"Two?" he repeated. "Does that mean... you found the Staff?"

"Bit hard not to, considering I'd been sleeping over it half my life." Eclipse started leaning on Weiss.

"I had a feeling he put it there," Ironwood muttered.

"Where is it now?" Violet asked.

"Hidden," Eclipse said shortly.
