"You are such an idiot."

"Thanks Princesa."

"How come I'm always the one who has to take care of you?" Weiss asked irritably.

She and Eclipse were in the team's dorm room sitting on the couch. Eclipse had her back propped up against a few pillows while Weiss sat near her feet.

"Ruby and Yang are at the coliseum and Blake is coming now so to put it simply you're usually the only one available." Eclipse sighed.

"I can't believe you." Blake walked in.

"Speak of the devil. C'mon guys, I told you I have a high pain tolerance. I thought it was just a bad bruise or something." Eclipse brushed her hair behind her shoulder. "How was I supposed to know I'd actually hurt myself?"

"You broke your ribs." Weiss said thoroughly annoyed.

"Slight fracture." Eclipse corrected. "It'll heal itself in a few hours, tomorrow morning at the latest."

"Imbécile." Weiss muttered.

"Be nice, I'm stuck here." The noirette whined. "Can you at least get me a book? Please Princesa?"

Weiss sighed and stood up. "What book?"

"Revolting Rhymes. It should be on the third shelf next to the Wyvern figurine."

"I'm not even going to ask about that title." Weiss said as she skimmed through the books.

"Here." Weiss handed her the book.

Eclipse had a lot of different types of books, all types of genres and themes but a recurring pattern was fairytales. Whether they were the originals or variations, Eclipse had many different fairytale books. Weiss assumed it was just a strange preference of hers.

"Thank you Angel." Eclipse grinned and opened the book.

"How come you never call me by my actual name?" Weiss asked as she sat back down.

"Come to think of it, I don't think you call either of us by our names."

"Yes I do."

"Eclipse, I can count the amount of times you've called me Weiss on one hand."

"Yeah it's always a nickname or no name at all."

"Huh. I guess I never noticed." Eclipse frowned. "In my family we usually called each other by a nickname. I think my mother started it."

Maybe she should start calling people by their actual names.

"You don't talk about your family often." Weiss commented.

"Neither do you. Either of you."

"What's there to talk about?" Weiss asked rhetorically. "I'm an heiress and my family is infamous for our business."

"Business scandals." Blake whispered bitterly.

"Regardless, what about Winter? Is she your only sister?" Eclipse asked, ignoring the silent argument going on between her friends.

"Yes however I do have a younger brother, Whitley."

"What about you Cat?"

"I'm an only child." She answered.

"Lucky." Weiss and Eclipse said bitterly.

"What-?"

"Eclipse?" Weiss and Blake looked at the other noirette.

"Two younger brothers." She groaned. "Little nuisances they were."

"You're the oldest?" Blake asked, surprised.

"Yeah why?"

"No reason, I just didn't expect it." Blake shrugged.

Weiss turned her head to look at the Faunus girl. "I didn't either."

Eclipse raised a brow in question.

"You just seem more like you'd be the middle child." Weiss nodded in agreement. "I think it's the chaos and sense of parental issues you carry with you."

"Thanks, I got them for my birthday." Eclipse smirked. "But yeah, I've always been the oldest. I haven't seen them in a while. Not sure they care though."

"How long has it been?"

"Ooh, um- a little over 9 years by now." The noirette answered. "Since I turned 18 a bit ago."

"What? When was your birthday? We could've planned something!" Weiss exclaimed.

"Oh, I think the painkillers are kicking in." Eclipse panicked and faked a yawn. "I'll just read my little bedtime story and rest y'know like the doctor said. Goodnight!"

"It's barely 6:00." Blake deadpanned.

"Again, painkillers. It has been great talking to you both but you must let me rest. Doctor's orders."

"No, no, no, no, no. I am not letting you sleep until you give me a date!"

"What does it matter if it's already passed?!"

"What if we want to do something for your birthday next year?" Blake asked, joining in on the 'torment a bedridden Eclipse' parade.

"I can't plan if i don't have a date for it!"

"C'mon just let me sleep!"

"You're not even tired!"

"I'm always tired! Do you know how hard it is to construct a Grimm from nothing?!"

"If you don't tell me, I will pour all your caffeinated drinks down the sink right in front of you." Weiss threatened.

"You wouldn't."

"Date please. Now." Weiss smirked knowing she'd won.

"...fine! It's in September that's all you're getting!" Eclipse gave in.

Not completely but it seemed to satisfy the other two.

"Good enough for now." Blake shrugged. "Well then goodnight Eclipse."

"'Night Ca- Blake." Eclipse corrected herself. Blake smiled at the effort and left.

Eclipse looked back at Weiss to see her staring at the many books on the shelf near her bed.

"You're wondering about the fairy tales." The noirette stated.

"Why are there so many of them?"

"When I was a kid I always read to my youngest brother. He's around 4 years younger than me and he loved fairy tales. I always preferred mythology but we've always been a bit different than each other. This book-" she held up the one in her hands. "-was my favorite to read to him."

"Why?" Weiss asked curiously.

"It combined the slight gruesomeness of mythology and classic fairy tales and I did like scaring him sometimes." Eclipse chuckled slightly. "Anyways, I've felt one too many emotions today so I think I'll actually sleep now."

"Eclipse."

"Hm?"

"Just so you know you can still call me those other names." Weiss looked away from the heterochromic teen. "I don't entirely mind."

"Thanks Hermosa."

"I have no clue what that means."

"Nothing bad." Eclipse smiled softly. "Promise."
