Eclipse stood rinsing off a glass having replaced her usual black gloves with a pair of rubber ones. The dishwasher was simple background noise as the noirette washed and dried the dishes that wouldn't fit.She hummed under her breath as she dried the dish but stopped when she caught a glance of her reflection. It was strange. She couldn't see her right iris.
The bright crimson color was always visible in even the tiniest glimpse of her reflection. It was always something people pointed out when meeting her (well besides Blake) so it was just strange she couldn't see it.
"The hell...?" Eclipse muttered, setting the cup down. "Yang!"
"Hm?"
"Does my face look weird to you?" The blonde looked up.
"Well I didn't really want to mention it but can you.. see okay?" She asked hesitantly.
"Yes? Do I have a scar or something?"
"Your right eye is sort of- well, it looks sorta like Weiss' eyes but paler."
Eclipse's eyes widened as she rushed towards the hall bathroom. As she flipped the light on she was immediately greeted with the sight of her bandaged body and shocked face. But the noirette quickly broke out into a grin. Her eyes had changed.
The normal onyx eye was the same as always but her right eye was blue. A shimmering powder blue.
"So it wasn't just a dream." Eclipse whispered in awe.
Who knew after all this time of wanting her eyes to go back to normal, all she had to do was ask?
A shadow appeared next to her. It was humanlike but there seemed to be an outline of horns.
Erebus.
"Eclipse is everything okay?" Yang asked, concern lacing her tone.
Eclipse turned to her, the grin never leaving her face. "Just perfect."

Eclipse sang quietly to herself as she watered her flowers, a habit she had picked up from one of her caretakers as a child. The moonflowers seemed to glow in her presence mixed with the moonlight; the white flowered vines curled around her bed frames, desk, and doorframe.
The white petals of the evening flowers stood out in her otherwise dark room. The walls and floor were simple dark wood and her bedspread was black with lavender pillows. The flowers were the only white thing in her room.
She heard laughter coming from downstairs and realized that Tai had company. The noirette sighed and set down her watering can going downstairs to see who it was and to get some coffee.
"So, what are you doing here?" she heard Yang ask.
"Despite popular belief, teachers do have a life outside the classroom."
"Well if it isn't my favorite professor." Eclipse made her presence known.
"Ah Eclipse, it's nice to see you're in good health, child." Oobleck smiled at the teen.
"Thank you Dr. Oobleck. I'm happy to see you didn't get eaten by an Ursa." Eclipse smiled back at the man and moved to make herself a cup of coffee. "I know you would much rather get eaten by a King Taijitu- would you like some coffee?"
"No thank you dear, I've been told I need to drink more water."
"As have I but Weiss and Qrow aren't here to force the demonic liquid down my throat."
"In any case," Port interjected, trying to get them back on track. "Professor Goodwitch is working 'round the clock to restore Beacon to its former glory! But, Mistral wasn't built in a day. And we all need rest from time to time."
