Eclipse woke up to the smell of coffee.

Sitting up from the "guest" bed she was sleeping in she quickly made her way out of the bedroom and towards the kitchen.

"Weiss?" Said girl looked up from the coffee maker at the sound of her name. "You made coffee."

"Nice to know you can still state the obvious." Weiss remarked before looking the other over. "You look like hell."

"It's early." Noticing the amount of coffee in the pot Eclipse went on to say, "I hope you plan on sharing."

"Unlike you, Eclipse, we're not all stingy with coffee." the noirette moved over and rested her head on the smaller girl's shoulder. "I made this much on purpose."

"Yayy, Angel's being nice today!"

"Don't make me regret it."

Weiss, lightly pushing Eclipse off of her, poured four cups of coffee adding creamer and sugar to three of them and handed Eclipse hers before placing them on a tray.

"Where are we going?" Eclipse asked as she followed the snowy haired girl, sipping at her bitter coffee.

"To give those who are already awake their coffee." Weiss answered.

Walking through the house they made their way to the training area to see Ruby sitting on the patio as Yang sat down next to her.

The youngest sighed. "What are you doing up?"

"Can't fall back to sleep." Yang replied.

"Ah, me neither."

"Well, fortunately, coffee exists."

Weiss made her and Eclipse's presence known, carrying the tray and walking over to join their teammates. She lowered the tray down so Yang could grab a cup.

"No, please!" Ruby exclaimed dramatically.

"Don't worry, I put in blasphemous amounts of cream and sugar, just for you." Weiss held the cup out in front for Ruby.

"Oh yeah! Nice Weiss strikes again!"

At the nickname, Weiss pulled the cup away just as Ruby was about to grab it.

"I will pour this on you and it will burn."

She handed the cup to Ruby, who nervously giggled. Weiss sat down next to her teammates and grabbed her own cup of coffee after placing the tray down next to her, Eclipse joining them on the patio shortly afterwards.

"Can't believe we're actually in Mistral." Yang sighed.

"That's what you can't believe?"

"Well, yeah! And all the other magic and stuff. But... Okay, you know what I mean!"

"I honestly wasn't sure if I'd ever see you three again." Weiss told them.

"Well, here's to defying expectations."

Yang and Weiss clinked their cups together, while Ruby gulped her cup down in one go, opening one eye to glance at the others' cups; Eclipse had also finished hers.

"I just wish Blake could be here with us." Ruby sighed.

"Yeah, well, she made her choice."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I mean she could've been here if she just stuck around," Yang replied bitterly. "It's no big deal though. We'll be fine."

"Yang, we don't know what happened. She probably wanted to stay." Eclipse said to the blonde, voice firm.
