Grounded

A few hours later Eclipse was back in her room taking a nap cuddling Weiss while Weiss herself read one of her old fairytale books.

One of the more horrifying ones.

"Thea, darling, your father needs your-" Arabela cut themself off when they saw her sleeping.

"Wha happened?" she asked drowsily.

Weiss patted her hair down a bit.

"Your father needs you when you're done with your nap darling."

Eclipse yawned as she made her way over to her bedroom door with Weiss following after her.

"Apollo please just get down!" They heard Zeus yell.

"What'd he do now?"

"Not until you invite them!" Apollo yelled back. "Is your petty feud with Jacques more important than your son's feelings?"

"Which son?"

"And I am needed, why?" Eclipse asked, yawning once again.

"Thea, can you please get your brother down from the chandelier?" Zeus pleaded.

"...I hate it here." She said after a small pause. Regardless, she looked up at the boy clinging to the light fixture. "Apollo, get down!"

"No! Go away!"

"Why is he even up there in the first place?"

"Father refuses to invite Jacques and because of that Jacques isn't letting Whitley come to the party." Esteban informed, seeming to appear out of nowhere.

He lifted the glass he had brought with him to his lips as he watched the scene amused. Seeing their mother's disapproving glance at his drink he stated, "It's sparkling grape juice. Non-alcoholic. Alfred made sure of that."

"His name isn't Alfred, Esteban."

"Might as well be. He does everything, I'm sure he'd kill for you, Thea, and Father."

"Is that seriously what this is about- Apollo get your scrawny ass down here and stop being a brat!"

"I said NO!"

"Little rat..." she laughed in disbelief.

"You should've let her sleep." Arabela told their husband.

"I'm aware of that now, thank you love." Zeus smiled sardonically at his partner. "Thea, please don't push your brother off."

"I'm not gonna push him, I'm gonna drag him down."

She summoned shadow tendrils and sent them up at Apollo who tried to dodge them but they eventually grabbed hold of him and pulled him down from the chandelier he was holding onto for dear life.

"Let me go! Thea, tell these demon things to put me down!"

"Not until you stop acting like such a toddler. So Whitley can't come, get over it."

"Easy for you to say, you hate him!"

"Yeah 'cause he's a spoiled brat and I think that's rubbing off on you right now."

"Shut up and put me down!"

"I'll throw you across the fucking room!"

"Language!"

"Hey you woke me up for this." she set her sight on Zeus and he could see her eyes glowing red. "I'll say whatever I want."

It took about ten minutes to get Apollo to stop yelling and even longer to get Eclipse to stop yelling at him but eventually everything worked out which Zeus was thanking every god for.
