Eclipse's head pounded as she sat up only to find nothing. Complete darkness. She stood with some difficulty and started to look around, the pounding in her head still not ceasing. As the noirette walked she saw a purple figure not too far from her. All of a sudden it was as if her body was pulled towards the figure and once she looked around again she was right in front of it.

"How are you doing that?" Eclipse pointed at them after a small pause. The figure looked up at her.

"You are in a place void of any other life form, however the first question you ask is how I am sitting on air." They seemed to raise an eyebrow.

At least that's what Eclipse thought since they didn't really have any features.

They had a deep, slightly gravelly voice; it sounded as if they hadn't used it in a while.

"With everything that just happened that's the weirdest part of this." She shrugged. "I'm assuming I'm going to hell. Pretty sure I killed someone earlier and murder is definitely frowned upon in God's eyes."

"While that is true you aren't dead quite yet." The figure took a glance at Eclipse and turned a page in their book.

"Hmm. Well then where are we exactly?" Eclipse took a seat on the nonexistent floor.

"I'm not entirely sure." The figure answered. "I've been here since my brother and I abandoned humanity. It's a sort of place between everything and nothing, a void if you will. My brother visits every now and again. It's quite serene actually."

Since my brother and I abandoned humanity... holy sh-

"You're the god of darkness aren't you?!" Eclipse excitedly asked. He nodded tiredly. "That's awesome. I always knew you were real. Weiss owes me coffee now~ Wait. Weiss! Are the others okay?!"

"Your friends are all alive. Injured but nothing fatal." He closed his book and set it aside, making Eclipse mentally question the laws of this 'void'. "Let's get down to business shall we?"

"Ok?"

"I'll make this brief. I have been watching over you since you were four-"

"Creepy." The god glared at her. "Sorry, go on."

"I needed to find someone worthy of this power. You can imagine my surprise when I found most of the traits I was looking for in a four year old. Intelligence, bravery, compassion, loyalty and finally a certain disregard for the rules. Do you remember when you discovered your Semblance?" He asked.

"Quite vividly." Eclipse nodded. "That's the day I learned not to run off in the woods."

"Good. It seems that you're not as ignorant as I thought. But that day I put a barrier between your Semblance and your soul."

"How is that possible?" Eclipse tilted her head. "Aura and soul go hand in hand and Semblances are just an extension of aura."

"In most cases, yes. But a Semblance as dangerous as yours needed to be separated. However your silver eyed friend and your impulsive actions just destroyed that barrier." He scolded the noirette. "Now you have two options: either live without the barrier or I can take the power and you'll live the rest of your life without a Semblance."

"Only sort of without a Semblance." Eclipse muttered. "What happens if I choose to live without the barrier?"

"You'll become stronger than before with your Semblance becoming more powerful along with your connection to the creatures of Grimm." He explained.

"That sounds too good to be true." Eclipse narrowed her eyes. "I'm more than just strength y'know."

"I've noticed." The god deadpanned. "There is the risk that your soul will be taken over by the darkness."
