CHAPTER 01 (GRADUATION)

Everyone was beaming with pride, as they had finally graduated after a few years. Some even pose for photos with their friends, while others enthusiastically greet one another. Some of the partygoers had already returned to their homes to celebrate.

A tall man approached the two companions who were taking a picture of each other. The beauty and orderliness of the man's attire indicate that he is a businessman. When the man approached them, Lisa bowed as a greeting.

"If it's okay with you, Lisa, I'd like to invite you to a big party at my place" With a smile on his face, the man expressed his thoughts.

"Thank you very much, Mr. Kim, however I am unable to accept your invitation because we're also having a family gathering at our house" The woman's response.

The man looked at his daughter. "If that so, then we will be ahead of you, the visitors probably waiting for us" Jennie and Lisa said goodbye to each other. A black Mercedes Benz stopped in front of them and Jennie got in first. Lisa bowed to the man again before the man finally got into the car.

"Is Jennie left right away?" Lisa was approached by her lovely mother. She nodded in response. "I didn't even congratulate her" Before Lisa could speak again, a Porsche Cayenne Turbo stopped in front of them. Their driver came out so he could open the door.

"Where is Dad?" Lisa asked her mother.

"He couldn't say goodbye to you since he had an emergency meeting with the company" Her mother responded and because of that she was a little upset, she thinks that she wouldn't be able to celebrate with her father on one of the most important days of her life.

She had been closed with her father since she was a child, and she admired him in everything. This is the reason why she took Business Management course. She wanted to show her father that she was capable of doing the same things as him. This, however is not her ambition. She aspires to be a well-known photographer. When she told her father about it one day, she was surprised at how delighted he was, and how supportive he was of her goals. So in exchange of his kindness she enrolled in a Business Management course.

When they arrived at the mansion, she was immediately greeted by their family and friends.

"Congratulations Manoban" The tall and beautiful woman approached her and immediately hugged her.

"Thank you so much, Seul" She responded with a smile.

There was a lot of food prepared, and her father's business partners also came. Her graduation celebration appeared to be a large gathering.

"Congratulations my baby" Her father gave her a warm hug.

"Dad, I'm no longer a baby, I've graduated from college" She also hugged her father.

"Even if you get married, you are still my baby" Her father kissed her hair.

"I assumed you wouldn't be able to return home early" She was hugging his father like she's a child, but her father let go of the hug and looked at her.

"I know you'll be disappointed if I don't show up" Even if she didn't say it, the father was fully aware of her daughter's habit, and he knew Lisa would be sad if he didn't attend the celebration.

Lisa is the type of person that rarely expresses her true feelings and prefers to keep it to herself. Her father, on the other hand, understood when she was sad, happy, and, most importantly, hurt.

"Lisa, I'm really proud of you" The father ran his hand through her daughter's hair.

"Thank you for everything Dad" Lisa couldn't stop crying. She loves her father so much.

"You're such a crying baby" Her tears were quickly wiped away by her father.

They had no idea that Lisa's mother was standing nearby, watching. It was fascinating to observe how much the father and daughter loved each other.

Jennie stared at herself in the mirror. She is dressed in a red dress with black high heels.

The tall woman knocked on her bedroom door before entering. "Ms. Jennie Kim, your father is waiting for you downstairs"

"Please inform him that I am on my way down" Before leaving, the woman gave a nod.

Before eventually exiting the room, Jennie took another glance in the mirror and combed her hair. In their garden, there were a lot of people, including her family and friends.

"Jendeukie, you look so gorgeous" She was approached by her sister, who kissed her on the cheek.

"Thank you so much Jisoo unnie" She only met her sister again since Jisoo went abroad to study law. They both approached their father, who was in the middle of a conversation with one of his business associates.

"Mr. Yang, this is Jisoo and Jennie my daughters" Their father introduced them, and the businessman immediately smiled and greeted them.

"Jennie, Congratulations" Mr. Yang expressed his gratitude to the brunette. "And you, Jisoo, I heard you're a lawyer already, am I right?" The girl smiled and nodded.

"I'm not surprised, it appears that your father raised you well" The two businessmen exchanged a laugh. "Which of them, Mr. Kim, will take your place as the CEO of the company?"

Jennie was the focus of the father's attention. "I believe Jennie can manage the company, she can't waste the course she finished, right?"

"Of course Dad" A smile was forced on the brunette's face. Jennie's hand was held by Jisoo.

"Please excuse us Dad, we're just going to our friends" Jisoo said. The two nodded to their father and to Mr. Yang and walked away.

"Is this really what you want Jendeukie?" Jisoo asked worriedly.

"I have no choice unnie, I don't want to disobey Dad" Jennie's sad answer. "I'm not as brave as you"

"Don't worry when you're in Dad's position, I'll help you. Unnie is always here, remember that"

Jennie wrapped her arms around her sister. "Thank you very much, unnie"

Jennie let go of her sister's embrace and fixed herself before approaching her friends. She talked happily with them and quickly forgot about her sadness.

- With so much love for someone, we are able to let go of everything even our own happiness.
