CHAPTER 04 (SHE'S WAITING)

5 years later

JENNIE'S POV

I was in the office when Jisoo Unnie came in so I stopped what I was doing.

"Jendeukie, how are you today?" She sat in the chair directly across from my desk.

Before answering, I took a deep breath. "Still working"

"Are you taking a break? Don't put too much pressure on yourself" She took a glance at the documents I was about to sign. "Would you like to accompany me later?" She asked.

"Where?"

"Hang out with friends" She responded and rearranged the papers that had strewn on my desk.

"I’m not sure if I'll be able to come home early. I still have a lot of things to do" I answered without looking at her.

"Oh come on Jendeukie, it's just once. Make time for yourself to relax" She said, I really can't do anything when unnie invites me. I find it hard to say no to her.

"Ok fine, just send me the address and I'll go" She smiled. "Is there a reason why you suddenly got along, it's not Saturday today right?"

We usually hang out on Saturday night because there is no work the next day.

She shook her head. "I also don't know, Seulgi texted me earlier and said she would tell us something"

"What is that?"

She took a deep breath before speaking. "Jendeukie, are you listening? I said, I.Don't.Know."

"Ok relax, I'm just asking"

She stood up. "Alright, just come later, or do you want me to pick you up?"

I shook. "No, I can go there alone" I answered.

She stared at me first before speaking again. "Okay, If you say so"

She walked out of the office after saying her goodbyes but what she said stayed in my mind.

What will Seulgi say? Maybe she will get married too.

Unnie sent me the address of the Bar, when I arrived there Seulgi, Irene, Chaeyoung and Jisoo unnie were already there.

"Wow, you're too early huh" Unnie said in a sarcastic tone.

"It's better to be late than never" I answered and sat down beside Irene and Chaeyoung.

"So what's the news Seul? Are you getting married too" I was joking with Seulgi and Irene.

Irene is my besftriend, Seulgi and Chaeyoung are Lisa's friends. Jisoo unnie was married to Chaeyoung 2 years ago. I also don't expect them to stay together because they used to fight before. Seulgi and Irene have been in a relationship for 4 years and we are just waiting for them to get married.

"Someone is getting married, but that's not us" Seulgi replied.

Chaeyoung and unnie and I looked at each other. Irene, on the other hand, seems to know what Seul has to say.

"Jendeukie, don't tell me—..."

"Shut up unnie!"

"I don't know if this is a good or bad news but, Lisa is getting married"

They were all looking at me and I don’t know what my reaction will be but I tried to smile. "Wow, to whom?"

"I don’t know, only Dad told me last time. He also said that Lisa will be back here to Seoul with her fiance" Seulgi replied.

"Ahh guys, Lisa is actually here in Seoul. She called me this morning and I invited her here, but swear I don't have an idea that she's getting married" Chaeyoung said.

Before anyone could speak again, someone spoke from behind me.

"What's up guys!"

Seulgi stood up. "Hey Manoban long time no see!" Seulgi smiled and hugged her friend.

Irene, Chaeyoung and unnie also stood up to welcome her.
When our eyes met I just smiled at her and she did the same thing.

"By the way this is Suzy, my fiance" Lisa smiled as she introduced the woman next to her. The woman smiled at us before they sat down. I just looked at them while they're talking. Lisa was clinging to her fiance's waist.

She look so happy.

JISOO'S POV

From time to time I looked at my sister and I often caught her staring at Lisa and her fiance. It hurts to see my sister hurt but I can’t be mad with Lisa. I know there was a reason why she left then, and if this is the thing that can make my friend happy who am I to be mad at her?

I just want to get Jennie out of here, if I only knew this was going to happen I wouldn't have forced her to come along. I picked up my phone and texted Kai. Later on, Jennie's phone rang, she stood up and walked away from us to answer the call. When she returned, she said goodbye to us.

"Sorry guys, I have to go. Kai is waiting for me. By the way Ms. Suzy, nice to meet you"

I stood up and kissed her cheek. "Drive safely Jendeukie"

"Thank you unnie, don't drink too much ok?" I nodded and watched her get out of the bar.

"Unnie, Chaeyoung, sorry I wasn't able to attend your wedding" Lisa said.

"That's okay Manoban, we're getting married again and you need to be there. Right babe?" I smiled and looked at Chaeyoung.

Chaeyoung shook her head. "Don't believe her Lis, she's going to marry someone else" Seulgi and Irene laughed.

"How about you Seul? Aren't you planning to marry Irene yet?" Lisa asked Seulgi.

"I told you, I won't get married until you get married" Seulgi answered her.

I don't know if Seulgi was serious when she said that before, but now I seem to have proven that she is really serious.

"We're waiting for Lisa and Jennie to get married" We're all looked at Irene and she seemed to be shocked by what she said as well. "What I mean is, Seulgi is waiting for Lisa to get married and I'm also waiting for Jennie" She explained, and because of that we breathed a sigh of relief.

"Yeah, that's right" Seulgi agreed to her girlfriend.

"Jennie isn't married yet?" Lisa asked again.

I shook my head. "I think she's waiting for someone" Chaeyoung gaze at me. "Maybe Kai, yeah I think she's waiting for Kai"

She's waiting for you Manoban.

- She's waiting for someone who isn't aware that she's waiting.
