LISA'S POV
At 5:00 p.m., I left my office and texted Jennie that I would pick her up at their company, but she did not respond. I waited in the parking lot for almost an hour without receiving a text from Jennie, and some employees began to leave as well. After a few minutes, I saw her walking, but she was not alone; she was with Kai. They're laughing as if they're the only ones on the world. She didn't notice me since I was in the car, and I didn't get out either because it appeared that someone was going to drive her home. I watched Kai welcome her inside by opening the door for her. Because of the annoyance, I tightened my grasp on the steering wheel.
"That's something I should be doing" I thought to myself.
I checked my phone again to see if Jennie had left a message, but there was none. She didn't even bother to look at her phone.
I followed them as Kai's car started, expecting him to drive Jennie to our apartment, but no, we didn't go to our apartment until we arrived at an expensive restaurant, where Kai stepped out of the car and opened the door for Jennie. I stayed in my car while admiring the restaurant because I couldn't afford to take her to such a beautiful place since my salary in the company where I worked was not enough. Yes, my family is wealthy, but I refuse to spend the money that they have worked so hard to earn. I want to be independent, especially since I opted to stay in Korea instead of returning to Thailand with them. I'm also thinking about selling this car to add to my savings for Jennie's birthday celebrations.
I got out of the car and went inside the restaurant, but I wasn't prepared for what I saw, Kai was holding Jennie's hand, they both turned in my direction, and Jennie quickly removed her hand.
I approached them both. "Let's go home, Jen" I grabbed her hand in an attempt to pull her out, but Kai grabbed her other hand as well. "Don't be harsh, she's with me" Kai informed me of the situation.
Inside the restaurant, people are already staring at us. Jennie begged me to let her go as she gazed at me. I was slowly shaken until I let go of her hand and walked out of the restaurant.
I don’t understand what’s going on, is Jennie cheating on me? I just felt my tears dripping. I got in the car and cried there, hoping Jennie would follow me when I came out of the restaurant but she stayed there with Kai.
I stopped crying when my phone rang. Mr. Kim is calling me. I answered it.
"Hello, Lisa" He greeted me warmly.
"Good evening, Mr. Kim, what can I do for you?"
"I'd like you to come to my Mansion tonight to discuss something serious" He responded.
"Okay, Mr. Kim. I'll be there in 30 minute" I hung up the call and put my phone in my pocket. I glanced at the restaurant for a moment before finally leaving.

"I have something to offer you, I know you're Jennie's friend and you can afford to give it to her for free but to be fair, I will pay you for your work" We were inside his office in his mansion.
"What a job, Mr. Kim?" I asked him.
"I want to take you as a photographer at Jennie’s wedding, from the pre-wedding session through the actual wedding day"
It was as if I was suddenly deaf to what he said, I felt like things suddenly disappeared around me.
What wedding? Will Jennie get married?
I couldn't speak for a long time since my mind couldn't believe what Mr. Kim had stated.
"Lisa?" I returned to reality after hearing him call me.
"You seem surprised by what I said, didn't Jennie tell you about it?" He asked me.
"Jennie didn't say anything to me" Despite the fact that my tears were dripping again, I tried to talk clearly.
Mr. Kim let out a gentle laugh. "Maybe she wants to surprise her friends, after all, it's only been a year planned, and I'm sure Jennie is ready to marry Kai"
A year??
"Lisa, what are your thoughts on my proposal?" With a smirk on his face, he inquired.
I made an attempt to smile. "Mr. Kim, I'll think about it" I respond to him.
"I'm hoping you won't turn me down because I know, you and Jennie are best friends"
Mr. Kim escorted me to her mansion's front door, where I said my goodbyes and exited.
My tears ran again as I walked out of his mansion, my knees were weakening, but I manage myself to walk to my car.
Will I shoot the wedding of the person I love?
It's been a year of preparation, and Jennie still hasn't told me anything.
Is it her intention to make me look stupid? Will she just up and leave me?
Is this the reason why she forgot about our anniversary?
Is that why she frequently returns home late at night?
Is it the reason why she hasn't been able to introduce me to her father until now?
Is that why she has forgotten about my birthday today?
I feel like I'm going to explode thinking about all the things that are going through my head right now. Is there anything more painful than what I'm feeling right now?
I thought that was the most agonizing thing I'd ever gone through, but something much worse. My phone flashed and saw Wendy texted me, I immediately opened it and tears dripping down my face.
She texted me a photo of Jennie and Kai kissing in the restaurant parking lot where I had left them.
I hit my steering wheel. Now I'm feeling a mix of rage and pain.
Fuck! Jennie, what were you thinking when you did this to me?!
I drove my car fast until I got to our apartment right away, when I arrived Jennie was still not there. I immediately grabbed my bag and put all my belongings there, as well as my favorite shoes. I left the unit after double-checking that I didn't have anything else.
When I got down to the building the guard asked me but I ignored him. I put my belongings in the car and drove fast again.
One year, Jennie. You're no longer mine in a year.
In the depths of my thoughts, I no longer realized how fast I was driving and just heard the loud car horn on my left and I was no longer able to dodge until it crashed into my car.
