CHAPTER 13 (NEW SECRETARY)

JENNIE'S POV

Joy and I were walking to my office when we saw a beautiful woman who was new to me. When the woman noticed us, she immediately greeted me.

"Good morning Ma'am" She bowed.

"Good morning" I said.

When we passed her, I asked Joy. "Who is she, it's like I've only just seen her here?"

"She is Jeon Somi the new secretary of Ms. Manoban" Joy answered.

"Give me her profile later" I told Joy. I didn't wait for her to answer and immediately went inside the office.

When I entered my office I noticed a bouquet of flowers on my table, I looked at the note on it to find out who it was from.

I don’t know why I was disappointed when I read who the flower came from.

Why am I expecting Lisa to give this to me?

I remember what she said last night.

Don't wait for me.

I just put the flower away.

Later on I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in" The door opened and Lisa entered. I didn’t expect her to come here. She walked closer to my table until she noticed the flower next to me. 

"Nice flowers" She said while smiling.

I tried to smile. "What can I do for you?" I asked her.

"I would just ask if you have already chosen a picture for the cover of the magazine?" She was standing across from my table.

I stared at her for a few seconds while thinking. I remember I didn't even look at the pictures that she sent to me.

"I'll just send it to your email later" I answered.

She nodded. "Okay, thank you"

She was about to leave the office but the door suddenly opened and Kai entered.

"Good morning!" He greeted me with a smile.

"What are you doing here Kai?" I inquired him.

"I would like to invite you to lunch later, is it ok with you?"

I looked at Lisa, she couldn't get out of the office because Kai was at the door. Since she's not looking at me I turned my gaze to Kai.

"It's too early for you to come here to my office" I said to him.

"I really meant to tell you in advance, because it might others will be ahead of me" He answered then looked at Lisa.

"Okay, just come here again later" I told him.

"Yes!!" He was thrilled with my answer.

"You want to come with us later, Ms. Manoban?" Kai asked Lisa.

Lisa shook her head. "I'm sorry, Mr. Jong-in, my fiance will bring food here so maybe I'll just eat at my office" Lisa replied.

Ouch! You don't have to tell right in front of me.

"Is that so? Okay, I understand" Kai smiled at her.

"Please excuse me Ms. Kim and Mr. Jong-in" Lisa said and left the office.

"Did you like the flowers?" Kai asked as Lisa left.

I looked at him. "Kai, I told you, you don't have to do this"
