CHAPTER 43 (MOON AND STARS)

LISA'S POV

Mom and Wendy were relaxing in the bedroom with Luan while Jennie and I went for a walk by the shore. Luan spent the entire day with us and I taught him how to swim, so I'm sure he's exhausted now.

I took a break from walking to gaze at the sky; it was breathtakingly beautiful, with countless stars and not a dull moment in sight. Plus the lovely woman standing next to me.

"The sky is clear, it's so wonderful to look at," I told her, and she smiled as she raised her head.

"It appears to be happy for us," she said without looking at me.

We continued walking as I held her hand, "Love, the moon is following us," she said, which made me laugh a little.

"Maybe the moon is jealous of us because we're usually together." I said as I gazed at the moon.

"Perhaps the moon is sad" she replied, and I frowned at what she said.

"How can you say that?" I asked her.

"Because moon don't see the sun very often" She explained, so I looked at her as she watched the moon.

"However, when the moon meets the sun everyone stares for a while" I suddenly remembered the first day I saw Jennie as if my world had stopped, and I felt like I had lost everyone around except the two of us. That day, I told myself that she was the person I would marry. Jennie is the person I will love and cherish for the rest of my life. I considered her a star because she was so hard to reach, that's why I wanted to be a moon, so that even though I was far away from her, we would appear to be close in the eyes of others.

"Didn't you say before that I look like a star?" She asked and looked at me so I nodded. "When you left, I felt like I was the sun waiting to meet the moon again" I noticed her eyes were sad but it also vanished when she spoke again, "Now that you're here I don't want to be the sun who is afraid when the moon leaves, you won't leave, will you?" She asked, and I shook.

"I'm not leaving, my love" I replied, hugging her tightly. "I'm the moon again and you're my star"

"What if the star disappears?" I looked at her because of her question.

I smiled and responded, "I'll wait for it, I'll wait for you right here under the galaxy."

I noticed that the night was getting deeper, and I wanted to take this opportunity to dance with her. I want to show the moon and stars that this woman with me now is the woman I chose to be with for life. I want to tell them how much I love and appreciate this person. If they ever got to the point where they saw that she was with someone else, they should have brought her back to me, because I was the first to introduce this person to them.

"Love, can I dance with you?" I held out my hand to her.

She smiled and held my hand, "There's no song, Love" she said.

I wrapped her hand around my neck and placed my hand on her waist. "I will sing for you, my love" I replied smiling at her and she also smiled while staring into my eyes.

I found a love for me

When I started singing the first line it everything came back to me, from how I met her and how fast my heart beat for her.

Oh darling, just dive right in and follow my lead
Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet

I remember the first time I saw her smile, I thought she was beautiful when I first saw her but it was even better when she smiled.

Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me

She sang that line. I'm always here my love, I'm always waiting for you and I will never get tired of waiting like how you waited when I chose to give up.

'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time.

Maybe we were just kids when I felt I love you, I missed many times that we should have been together, but destiny was very kind because she brought me back to you. She brought me back to my home and now that I'm here, I will never give you up.

I stopped singing and I pressed our foreheads together, but we still didn't stop dancing, I could hear nothing but the waves of the sea and the fast beating of my heart. "I can't wait to marry you my love. I want our special day to be perfect, can I hear your dream wedding again?" She smiled as she closed her eyes. "I just want to share with the moon and stars what they can witness on our wedding day" I added.

"I want to get married at night, I want the whole galaxy to witness our special day together, walk on so many petals of flower while there are candles around, I want all the people who have been a part of our lives there, and of course I want to see you smiling while waiting for me" She said, and I couldn't stop my tears from flowing as I thought about what she was saying. I just feel like I want to marry her right now. "Will you add anything else to what I said?" She asked me and I shook my head.

"The fact that I will marry you is enough for me" I answered and we stopped dancing. I cupped her face and looked straight into her eyes," You'll not marry someone else, just me okay?"

"I don't see myself marrying someone else" She replied, which made me smile.

"I love you even if the stars disappear in the sky"

"I love you too even though the star is far from the moon" She answered me and I slowly brought my face closer until our lips met.

- Once upon a time the moon and stars witnessed our love.
