Jennie went through her papers on her table one by one but she couldn't find what she was looking for, so she called her secretary.

"Where is our new photographer's profile, Joy?" She asked her secretary.

"Ma'am, Mr.Kim's secretary has not yet given it" Joy's polite answer.

"Is the new photographer arrived yet?"

"Yes ma'am she was in her office right now"

"Please just call her and prepare her schedule for this week" Jennie orders her secretary.

The secretary nodded and left the office, Jennie turned her swivel chair, she was now facing the wall where the various awards of the company were displayed.

Jennie was massaging her temple, she didn't sleep well last night and now she arrived at the company early. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door.

"Please come in" Jennie said, without looking up.

The tall woman walked in first, followed by Jennie's secretary.

"Ma'am, this is her schedule" Jennie turned around and she was surprised to see who's the woman in front of her was.

"L-Lisa?" She didn't pay attention to the folder that her secretary handed. Jennie couldn't take her gaze away from the woman standing in front of her.

Why is it that the person she was thinking about last night is standing right in front of her right now?

"A pleasant morning to you Ms. Kim" Lisa greeted her with a smile.

Jennie couldn't talk for a few seconds.

"T-take a seat" She stuttered, it was obvious on her face that she was nervous.

She picked up the folder that Joy had handed her earlier.

"I wasn’t expecting this" Jennie shook her head as she spoke.

Lisa laughed softly. "By the way this is your schedule for this week, you have a photoshoot before lunch" She handed the folder to Lisa.

"Thank you so much, Ms. Kim" Lisa said with a smile.

"If you want anything else, please inform Joy, she will serve as your temporary secretary while Yeri is on leave"

Lisa nodded and walked out of the office after saying her goodbyes to Jennie.

JENNIE'S POV

As Lisa exited my office, I exhaled a sigh of relief. Dad didn't even inform me that she was the new photographer, which meant I'd be seeing her for the next two months.

What's wrong Jennie, you've been thinking about her for two years and you haven't complained.

Yeah, that's right.

***

I was focused on my laptop when Joy entered.

"Ma'am, the photoshoot is about to start, aren't you going?" She asked.

I usually watch a photoshoot when I'm not doing anything, but I'm not sure if I want to go this time.

"Mr. Jong-in was also there, and he seemed to be waiting for you"

I turned off the laptop and left the office. When I got there they were already setting up the lights. Kai approached me and whispered.

"What is your ex-girlfriend doing here?" He asked me.

"She is the new photographer" I answered.

I looked around and saw her setting up the camera, she was also talking to other employees who were fixing the lights.

When the photoshoot started Lisa was so focused on what she was doing that she didn't see the models' smiles as they looked at her, especially when she approached the model and said the appropriate position, there was still a chance she touched a woman's face since the model didn't get the right posture in which she should be turned. Because of what she had done, the woman reddened.

I didn't finish the photoshoot and returned to the office since there's only a few models remaining. I also don't want to see women stare at Lisa as if they have a chance.

Are you jealous Jennie?

No! Of course not!

"Is it ok if I ask a question, Ma'am?" When Joy spoke, I snapped back to reality.

"What exactly is it?" I asked without looking at her.

"Ms. Manoban is your girlfriend, right?" I looked at her because of her question.

"Ex-girlfriend" I corrected her.

Joy has been my secretary for a few years, so she may have recognized Lisa when she saw her earlier.

"Is it ok for Mr. Kim to have Ms. Manoban work here despite the fact that he knows she's your ex?" Joy asked once more.

"I didn't introduce her properly to Dad when we were still together" Because of what I stated, Joy's eyes widened.

Yes, I was unable to introduce her to Dad for three years, and I believe this was one of my mistakes. I informed him that I was going to the apartment with Lisa because her family had returned to Thailand, and he agreed because I would be alone if I stayed in our house. Dad is frequently absent, and Jisoo unnie has her own house.

I was driven by fear at that time, and I wasn't as brave as Jisoo unnie when she introduced Chaeng to Dad, despite Dad's againsts their relationship. I, on the other hand, still have a lot of dreams, and I'm the only one who Dad expects to run the business.

"Employees have been talking about her earlier, I heard that Ms. Manoban is famous now and she is getting  married" Joy exclaimed.

I remained silent.

"Do you still love her Ma'am?" I was shocked to her question.

My forehead furrowed. "What? Why did you ask that?"

"You were just staring at her earlier, you also didn't pay attention to Mr. Jong-in who's talking to you" She's teasing me.

"Is it possible to still love someone who left you?"

"It depends on how happy you were with that person before, and besides, the eyes don't lie so I guess you still have feelings for her Ma'am" Joy replied.

I took a deep breath before speaking. "Even if I say that I still love her, nothing will change, she is happy and that's fine with me, the only thing I regret are my mistakes in the past" I answered.

"There is no perfect person Ma'am everyone makes mistakes, the important thing is you know where you went wrong and you are willing to correct that mistake"

"I don't have a chance to correct that"

"You don't have a chance to correct that, but you do have an opportunity to apologize, not because you want her to come back, but because you can't move forward as long as you blame yourself for what happened in the past"

I feel like I'm not talking to Joy since I'm used to her being silent and only speaking when I talk to her.

"Is she still willing to forgive me?" I asked.

"I believe she has forgiven you already, Ma'am, you are the only one who cannot forgive yourself"

I never answered again, maybe she was right, I had to forgive myself.

Joy said her goodbye to me because she still had a lot of things to accomplish, and I just nodded in return.

- Sometimes, in order to be happy, we must accept things as they are.
