I heard Alexander chuckle from behind me and I turned to him. "What?" I asked in frustration. How did they all know something that I didn't?

He rolled his eyes and said, "You're literally phenomenal." I blinked and faced the crew again, who nodded. "You are ma'am." Someone said.

I had always knew I was more advanced than my peers, and that the sailing adventure had boosted my reputation, but this far?

"I'm just me. I'm just observant and don't know when to quit." I said humbly. Someone scoffed and I frowned. "I swear! I only know how to fight because I've seen it! I only know how to sail because I watched the sailors do it!" I defended. I didn't want a bigger reputation than I could fill.

"But you could still do it without training, ma'am!" I rolled my eyes. "It's not that unique, guys. It's jus-" I was interrupted by the boat rocking suddenly.

I staggered and grabbed onto the main mast, everyone shouting in confusion. I whipped my head up and found us surrounded by rocks in three directions, the only way out being behind us.

I heard a door open and I turned around. The captain stormed onto the deck only to grab a beam for support. The boat rocked again violently and I stumbled.

"What the hell is happening out here?!" Kingsley shouted. I cringed but said, "Rocks! We need to turn the boat around!"

His eyes scanned over me for a moment before nodding. "Alright. Henecker, Forts, tie the side masts! Hamilton, grab the rope and turn the main mast!"

I huffed. I was right next to the rope and he knew it.

Alexander gave me a skeptical look and I waved him off. I might as well.

I reached around the mast and grabbed the giant, rough rope. I stabilized my feet and held on with both hands, pulling. The change of wind rocked the boat more and I grunted, lifting off the floor for a moment. I balled up for a moment and lunged downwards, my feet hitting the deck.

I started to circle the deck, the mast groaning as I turned it. I saw two more hands appear on the rope and looked over.

Kingsley was pulling the rope with me, his eyes forward and alert. I sighed in relief and got back to the job.

The wind blew east so I kept walking until I felt the wind catch. I was being pulled up so I struggled, Kingsley grabbing my waist with one hand. I huffed and tied the mast down, tying it off with a big tug.

I stepped back and faced Kingsley. He made a sound of discomfort and removed his hand from me. I gave him a playful glare before looking around for who needed help.

The boat rocked again and I staggered a bit, falling on one knee. I grumbled and stood up. "We need to get out of here before the rocks cut up your boat, Kingsley!" I snapped, dusting off my slightly bloody knee.

Before he could respond, I grabbed the side of the ship and started walking for the wheel.

"Wait! No one sails my ship except me!" Kingsley called after me, following me. I turned my head to him sharply and said, "Then sail!"

He gave me a glare before jogging passed me. I rolled my eyes and focused on everyone else. "We need eyes around the ship!" Kingsley shouted. I accidentally made eye contact with him and he gave me a dark smile

I looked up the crow's nest and sighed. It's always me.

I stomped to the mast and grabbed the ladder, climbing up. I felt the wind get stronger and the air get freezing cold. I clenched my jaw to keep my teeth from chattering too much.

Once I reached the top and climbed in, I scanned around the boat.

We had at least two meters of room all the way around except for the exit. I cupped my mouth to project my voice and shouted, "Go slow and east! East and a slim fit!"

Kingsley nodded and spun the wheel. I felt the boat jerk and I yelped, holding on for dear life. The ship turned and was aligned between the rocks. I nodded and shouted, "Go ahead! Forward slow and careful!"

Everyone grabbed onto to something as the boat sailed forward. I kept a close eye on the ship and rocks, hands extended to signal Kingsley,

"A little north! Smooth turn and don't stop!"

The boat drifted a little to the left and I nodded. A straight shot and we were free.

"Watch out!" I flinched and felt the boat rock. I heard shouts as something fell down and I looked down.

Alexander was unconscious and the man who found me stood over him. "God dammit!"

I climbed out of the crow's nest and climbed down, my feet slamming into the wood. I picked up my skirts and ran for the man. "Hey!"

He turned to me and gave me a cruel smile. "Hello, pretty girl." He said in a raspy voice. I lifted a fist and struck, his head knocking back from the force. "You leave Alexander alone!"

Everyone started to surround us as the man pressed a hand to his bleeding nose. "You bitch! You hit me! A woman!"

I stuck my tongue at him and raised my hands a bit. "Yeah, and I'm about to hit you again if you don't run!" I snapped. He chuckled and lunged forward. I ducked and turned, dodging him. He had no technique!

The man stumbled before facing me again. I didn't give him a moment to rest. I struck twice and kicked his knee in. He cried out and fell.

He looked up at me with a bloody face and dark eye. "You're crazy!" He shouted. I walked up to him and he shrunk back.

I leaned close to him and whispered, "Damn right I'm crazy, and don't forget it."
