So it turns out the thing I spotted on the horizon was Charleston. We finally made it. After Kingsley shouting this, I changed into one of my darkest dresses I brought. It was one color, a dark maroon, with no special designs so I don't stand out.

Alexander and I started saying our goodbyes as we neared the docks. I shook hands down the line of sailors, pausing when I reached the third mate that tried to take advantage of me.

I looked up at him with a sharp glare and he shrunk back, eyes worried. One was bloodshot and surrounded with purple.

I chuckled lightly and shook his hand. "Don't make me come back and do that to your other eye, understand me?" I mused, though I was dead serious and he knew it. He swallowed and nodded, letting go of my hand.

I heard someone clear their throat behind me and I turned, crossing my arms. "Kingsley," I said in a flat tone. He gave me a mocking look and said, "Schuyler," copying my tone. I rolled my eyes playfully and extended a hand. He took it and to my surprise, brought me into a hug.

I laughed and pat his back roughly. "Don't get sentimental on me ok Kingsley?" He grumbled nonsense and gave me a squeeze before letting go. He straightened out his jacket and huffed.

"I'll miss your shenanigans. Good luck on your new life." I blinked. How did he know? I never told him our real plan.

He winked at me mischievously. "Your sisters sent out a look out for you in Albany. I knew from the moment I saw you, Hamilton's hand on your shoulder, the real reason you were here."

I laughed awkwardly. "Oh. Thanks for not turning back." I said with a head dip. He waved it off. "I don't listen to any Schuylers but you and your father."

I rolled my eyes and turned to Alexander. "You ready?" He nodded and grabbed my hand. I faced the crew one last time, getting a sense of deja vu from when I went to save C/N. But this was different. Nothing bad will come of this. Right?

"Goodbye everyone!" I shouted, shoving my worries away. They all waved as we docked. Alexander and I immediately hopped onto the wooden floor, my sea legs kicking in. I grabbed his shoulder for stability and we laughed.

"Ready for a new start?" I nodded. "New names, new history, new friends." I mumbled. We started coming up with names on the boat and came up with two.

James and Rebecca Porter. James is my new, 24 year old husband and I'm his 22 year old wife. I'm a housewife from London and he is a soldier from a small town in Delaware.

"Where's our first stop, James." I said with a small smile. He chuckled and reached into his pocket, pulling out a letter. "Well, Rebecca, I was thinking about visiting Laurens." I looked at the letter and saw an address scrawled in Laurens' handwriting.

I nodded and reached into the pockets of my skirts, pulling out some coins. "We need a carriage."

Alexander nodded and waved his hand, a carriage pulling aside of us. He handed the address to the driver, who nodded and handed it back. We piled in and I huffed.

"So, Charleston. Its pretty." I said quietly, looking out if the carriage windows. The streets were bustling with men and women doing their normal deeds. A normal life. Wonder what that's like.

"Yeah, Laurens chose right." He mused. I chuckled and nodded. "Safe place too. For any kids, you know." I covered my mouth immediately. Why did I say that. Why did I say that?!

I had no idea about Alexander's stance on children and sure as hell didn't want to bring it up now!

To my surprise, he nodded. "Yeah, you're right."

I blinked and looked at him in confusion. "You're fine with kids?" I asked, perplexed. He nodded. "I've always wanted kids! Some boys, a girl or two." Wow, thats a big order.

"You mean some girls, a boy or two." I corrected. He huffed playfully. "No no no. More boys." I scoffed. "More girls! No way I'm dealing with more mini yous around!"

He snapped his head in my direction. "What's that mean?" I shrugged. "You're amazing Alexander. You're just adventurous and impulsive, thats all."

He scoffed and faced me fully. "Says the girl that hopped on multiple ships without thinking!" I rolled my eyes and was about yo retort when the carriage stopped. I huffed and opened my door, getting out. Alexander followed and payed the driver before facing the house.

It was small and cozy. Not the house of a soldier, but of a normal civilian. Guess we aren't the only ones that want a new start.

I started walking up when Alexander grabbed my hand. I turned to him and he looked at me with panicked eyes. I sighed and faced him, taking both his hands in my own.

"Look at me Alexander." I said quietly. Slowly, our eyes met. "I know how scary this is for you. I felt the same when I arrived in Boston for
C/N," I said, implying that I knew about them two. He swallowed and nodded. "It's gonna be okay."

I didn't wait for a response. I dragged him to the door and knocked. No backing down. I heard some voices on the other side and straightened up, Alexander doing the same.

Slowly, the door opened and there stood Laurens. He dropped the cup he was holding. "John? Are you alright?" A woman shouted.

"Y-Yeah Martha!" He said shakily, surveying Alexander and I. His eyes met mine and I gave a small wave. "Hello Laurens. Miss us?"
