You're worth more than a hundred,
I know it's taken years to say.
You're worth more than a thousand,
Shall I remind you every day?
I've tried to tell you quietly
To not raise any alarms,
Whispered to you nightly,
Combating dark harms.
I've told you discretely,
So you're less likely startled
But you argue quiet loudly,
Lowered costs as you're bartered.
You're worth more than consumed,
Even when you feed minimally.
You're worth more than imbibed,
Even when you lose physically.
I know the rest view you differently.
I know the others are cowards,
Entangled insecurely
By prospects of power.
So I'll give back your worth,
In ways that I can.
Though I'm outnumbered,
I'll tell you again.
You are worth more
Than your lost empty breaths.
You are worth more
Than their lungs bringing death.
You are worth more
Than your coins for the taking.
You are worth more
Than their hearts slowly breaking.
Keep breathing, I beg you.
Keep being. Keep believing,
That you are worth more
Than what you are seeing.
