Energy can neither be
Created nor destroyed
So when you push it all down
Where on earth does it go?
Into your cracks
And out the other side
Where ill-fated lovers
Tend to reside
Out of their breath
As they call out to you
To dislodge yourself
And express all its hues
Back into your eyes
In light you evade
And onto your skin
Shrouded from rays
It crawls up your spine
Moving ever faster
Until you can change it
From becoming disaster
Shoving
And hiding
Just turn it anew
Mold it
And grow it
Look past the mildew.
You can't run forever
You can't hold it in
It'll come back around
Until it's changed once again.
So turn once to face it
And greet your old friend
This grief you've evaded
Lives on in the end.
