The girls walked down to the Great Hall, on their second morning of term.
"McGonagall has already set me spells to work on! And she wants me to continue looking at houses. Urgh, I have a lot on my plate," Sarah sighed, as she turned the corner into the bustling Great Hall.
The sky above was dark and gloomy, which was soon to fit Sarah's mood.
"You'll find a house, Sarah. Don't worry," Patricia gave her a soothing pat on the arm.
Sarah smiled at this, before a gag behind her made her jump.
Alicia, her dark hair tied in a messy pony tail and bags under her eyes, had a hand cupped over her mouth.
"Are you about to be sick?" Angelina asked, leaning away from her.
Sarah shot Angelina a look, before turning to Alicia, "Are you okay? Do you want to go?"
Alicia took a deep breath, her eyes closing for a moment. She withdrew the hand over her mouth, as her eyes opened.
She smiled, "I'm good. Just needed a moment."
"Come on, let's sit! I'm starving!" Patricia slid into a seat at Gryffindor table.
Sarah sat beside Patty, whilst Angelina and Alicia clambered over the table to sit opposite them.
"You know a name River suggested?" Alicia began, as she poured herself an orange juice.
"What?" Patricia asked.
"Charlotte," Alicia replied, scrunching her nose with distaste.
Angelina furrowed her brows, "What's wrong with the name Charlotte?"
Alicia shrugged her shoulders, "It's so...bland."
"At least its normal. Some people name their kids the weirdest things," Sarah replied, eyeing the windows where the owls would be arriving shortly.
What was taking so long?
"Oh yeah! - " Angelina began, " - I actually have a cousin called Apple."
"Apple? You have a cousin called apple?" Patricia leaned forward with intrigue.
"Yeah! It's crazy, isn't it?" Angelina agreed, whilst Alicia sighed.
"I quite like Apple actually - " Alicia stated.
" - You're joking!" Patricia nearly yelled, whilst Angelina laughed.
Suddenly, the owls were there. The flapping of their majestic wings echoed around the stone walls of the Great Hall. They swooped down, depositing mail and newspapers to their recipients.
Sarah caught a Daily Prophet, as the owl who had deposited it flew into the gloomy grey clouds.
"Houses!" Sarah squealed excitedly, as she unfolded the newspaper.
"Who knew houses could be so exciting?" Patricia snickered.
Sarah spread the cover flat on the table. Her smile melted from her face, replaced with a look of horrified shock.
"Holy shit! Holy shit! This can't be real," She repeated to herself, as she eyed the article with fear.
"What?" Angelina, Alicia and Patricia turned to Sarah, who's skin was devoid of colour.
On the cover, there was a picture of a screaming woman, who Sarah knew to be Bellatrix Lestrange. Above the pictures, in thick black letters, read:
MASS BREAKOUT FROM AZKABAN

Once the other girls had read the title, they gasped.
