The issue of the revival potion continued to aggravate Sarah throughout September. She hadn't attempted to make it again, as firstly, George was still treating her as if she was made of glass, and secondly, because she still couldn't figure out what she was missing.

She spent her evenings reading through Potions textbooks to find clues. She'd even resorted to scouring through herbology books for answers. Naturally, nothing of use came up, leaving Sarah in the dust.

So, playing a dangerous game, Sarah brought the matter up with Capri. The pair were alone in the flat on a Saturday night. Fred and George had been sent out on an Order assignment. It wasn't anything too dangerous. They were helping some muggleborns prepare to leave the country and go into hiding.

Capri was moving around the kitchen, making herself a cup of tea. She'd offered Sarah some tea, too, but Sarah was too antsy to enjoy anything. Sarah watched her flatmate with calculating eyes for a moment before opening her mouth to speak.

"Do you remember that night?" Sarah asked, leaning back in her seat at the kitchen table.

Capri glanced at Sarah over her shoulder, "What night?"

"You know, when Sirius..." Sarah trailed off, hands playing with the cuffs of her pajama top.

Capri turned around slowly, leaning against the counter, "Of course I remember it. I think about it all the time. Why do you ask?"

Sarah inhaled deeply, allowing herself time to think, "When we saved Sirius, you created that rope. That lasso."

Capri crossed the kitchen, sliding into a seat opposite Sarah.

"You're still trying to understand Sirius'...incident?" Capri inquired, tilting her head.

Sarah nodded, frustrated, "I've tried so hard to work it out, and it's starting to get on my nerves. I'm missing something!"

Capri nodded, "I've never heard of an instance like what we did. I spoke to my Nona about it, and she was confused as well."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying we did the impossible."

"Can't be that impossible if us, of all people, managed to do it."

Capri laughed slightly, "Give us some credit. We're pretty good witches, you and me."

Sarah laughed too, shaking her head, "The point still stands. We managed to - to bring a man back to life, and there has to be reason as to why or a method as to how."

"A method as to how..." Capri repeated faintly, gaze cast away in thought.

"What?" Sarah asked curiously.

Capri turned back to Sarah with focused eyes, "You're implying that, say we figured out the method in which we brought Sirius back, we could replicate it. You know, we could bring someone else back to life."

Sarah's blood ran cold. This conversation was a mistake. Sarah should've kept her mouth shut. Capri was incredibly clever, of course she would've worked out Sarah's ulterior motives.

Thinking quickly, Sarah answered, "Replicate it? I don't think that would be wise."

"You don't?" Capri's eyes widened in surprise.

"No - " Sarah shook her head, "Besides, I'm starting to think it was a one-time thing."

The sudden turn in conversation captured Capri's attention, much to Sarah's relief.

"Oh, a miracle, you say?" Capri smiled at this.

"Nothing useful to add?" Sarah asked her with a sigh.
