August crept upon Diagon Alley, blessing its residents with warm weather, blue skies and vast amounts of customers. Despite this, Sarah woke up with a plethora of things to be anxious about, one of those things being her NEWTs results.Sarah tried to keep her mind preoccupied. She flicked through the channels on the television, had thoroughly cleaned the oven, and even started writing a few songs for her manager to hear. Yet, after all that effort, her legs still wandered to the kitchen window, where she would squint into the distant sky to watch for any approaching owls.
Fred, who was working upstairs, watched her pace around with a smile. He'd been experimenting with a new product, which was why he was in the flat rather than the shop. He was sat at the dining table beside Capri, who translated her nervousness for her own results into a fair few dress designs.
"Are the girls still coming over?" Fred asked Sarah, as she fidgeted with her hands nervously. He was referring to Angelina, Alicia and Patricia.
"Yeah, once their results come," Sarah answered.
Capri looked up curiously at this, "Even Alicia? Isn't she like, nine months pregnant or something?"
Sarah, still pacing, replied, "One week overdue, as well. She's hoping the travel will get the baby out of her."
Fred laughed slightly, "Yeah, like that's going to work. Hallie's mum told me she had to eat spicy food to get Halcyon out."
Capri laughed too, "You have to make your womb a hostile environment, I suppose."
"You should probably tell her that. She'll thank you. In all her letters, she's been complaining about how terrible pregnancy is," Sarah came to a stop, as the constant pacing had started to make her dizzy.
Capri and Fred let out sighs of relief once Sarah sat down at the dining table. She felt rather bad, now.
"I don't know, I'd quite like to be pregnant," Capri said aloud.
Fred stifled another laugh behind his hand, "Don't let George hear you saying that."
"He might have a heart attack," Sarah added, laughing too.
Capri rolled her eyes at the pair, "Shut up, you two. Besides, it doesn't matter if he hears me. We've had that conversation already."
Fred raised his brows, "Moving a bit quick, don't you think?"
Capri shook her head, "We're not having kids now, you idiot. I meant it as a future thing."
"Oh -" Fred shoulders seemed to slump. " - It'd be nice to have a kid around the shop."
Fred's glance towards Sarah seemed to linger, and her heart pounded with panic. Did he want to have children? Sarah never put much thought into having kids, as her mind was set upon her career. She thought Fred's mind was too, but now she wasn't so sure.
