During break time, the four girls were in the bathroom. They leant over the sinks, reapplying lipstick, brushing their skin with powder or applying mascara.
Angelina, Sarah, Alcia and Patricia wouldn't usually redo makeup in the bathroom during break, but there was a specific reason for it.
"Hopefully that durmstrang boy notices me," Patricia sighed as she readjusted her hair.
"It might go well if you learn his name," Alicia chuckled, checking her contour in the mirror. Alicia and Sarah didn't have to impress on anyone, as Sarah already had a date and Alicia (almost) had a date. They were there for the fun of it.
"It's German! I can't pronounce it without accidentally offending him!" Patricia replied, a frown upon her face.
There was a moment of silence, only interrupted by the Slytherin girls around the L-bend in the sink. They were doing the same thing that the Gryffindor girls were; impressing the boys.
"Just ask him to say it slowly. I'm sure he won't mind," Angelina told her, capping her lipstick with a snap.
"No, I can't. I'll just call him 'darling'. He likes it when I do that," Party replied with a shake of her head, whilst Sarah burst out laughing.
"Sarah, why are you even here? You have a date already," Patty eyed her in the mirror.
"I'm not going to miss an opportunity to dress up. Besides, I'm here to be your wingwoman, you know?" Sarah replied. She pushed herself up onto the sink counter, her back facing the mirror.
"My wing woman. I need her help to ask River," Alicia called, messing up her hair a little.
"Exactly!" Sarah echoed, a smile upon her face.
"Whatever. Break is almost over. We need to get going," Angelina told them. The girls shuffled out of the bathroom, heading for the dungeons.
The four girls were in the chilly dungeons, listening to Professor Snape drawl on about Shrinking Potion. Sarah was interested, but a lot of the class weren't.
They were jittery as they scribbled down notes, Snapes eagle-eyed stare over their shoulders. He paced the length of the classroom as he spoke, his robes swishing at his calves.
"The purpose of Doxy venom...Mr Weasley!" Snape demanded, his eyes landing upon Fred and George.
"Uh, which one?" Fred asked slowly.
"10 points from Gryffindor for cheek," Snape snarled.
"It's for healing potion, isn't it?" George asked, rubbing the back of his neck.
"No, Mr Weasley. It is not. Another ten points from Gryffindor," Snape turned away from the twins sharply, his robes dancing around his ankles.
"I thought it was Healing potion?" Angelina scratched her nose, squinting at the blackboard.
"Yeah, it is," Sarah whispered in reply, underlining her title.
"Seems someone is in a bad mood," Alicia leaned across Angelina to whisper. Sarah glanced at Snape, who smashed his chalk against it's holder.
"Man, he looks like he wants to throttle something," Sarah muttered, running a hand through her hair.
"Or someone," Angelina added, her eyes not wavering from the board
"Maybe it's the daunting thought of having to teach the Slytherins to dance this afternoon. The man doesn't have rhythm," Alicia giggled, straightening up.
