Mrs Weasley wasn't sure what to think when her sons showed up at her door, a day after she'd received an angry howler from the new headmistress of Hogwarts about their behaviour.

"Hi, Mum!" Fred greeted nervously, nudging George to straighten up.

The two were stood on the doorstep of the burrow, with their mother staring down at them, an unreadable expression on her face.

"You probably know what happened by now, and we just want to say -" George continued after a moment of awkward silence.

Mrs Weasley pulled the door open, and demanded, "Get in."

Fred and George shared another nervous glance, before stepping inside. Behind them, Mrs Weasley snapped the door closed. The Burrow was as it always was - perhaps a little cleaner than usual - warm and cosy. Mr Weasley entered the living room, having heard the door slam. He eyed Fred and George with a look of surprise.

"Oh, you're back! A couple months early, I think -" Mr Weasley said, a smile appearing on his face.

Mrs Weasley was silent.

" - Yeah, that's what we need to talk about," Fred replied, as he took a seat on the sofa.

His legs had ached for a seat, as he'd been on his feet or on a broom for the past day.

"What is there to say?" Mrs Weasley began, averting her gaze from George, who was still stood up.

"What's that supposed to mean?" George asked, with furrowed brows.

Mrs Weasley, "You've already done it. Already dropped out. What can I do now?"

George dropped his gaze to the floor, "Nothing. There's nothing you have to do."

Mrs Weasley crossed her arms over her chest, "Nothing I have to do? Nothing I have to do? You two dropped out of school! How will you get jobs?"

Mr Weasley glanced between everyone in the room with confusion, "Wait, you two dropped out?"

Fred nodded, although he looked to be in a much better mood than George, "Yeah - and Mum, you don't have to do anything, because George and I already have jobs."

Mrs Weasley's head snapped in Fred's direction, "What?"

Fred stood up, even though his legs ached in protest, "Yeah, and you're probably going to hate it, but George and I are headset on it."

Mrs Weasley said nothing.

For the next two weeks at Hogwarts, it was filled to the brim with chaos. Everyone had taken Fred's parting words very seriously, by setting off Weasley Wizarding Wheezes products everywhere they could. It was a miracle Sarah hadn't fallen over a tripping tightrope, or been spiked with a fainting fancy.

However, everyone's spirits ran low as the exams approached.

Sarah found herself holed up in the library or the common room, pouring over books and revision sheets. She was quite thankful that she'd dropped Ancient Runes.

If she wasn't revisiting, Angelina had her on the Quidditch Pitch, batting away bludgers and pushing herself for the limit. If Sarah was being honest, she was quite glad for the distraction. The team had to get used to their new chaser, Dean Thomas, seeing as Alicia had to take a step back from the team. She wasn't as distraught as Sarah thought she'd be.

Sarah hadn't expected anything of interest to come up now, that was until Professor Bobes called for her after class.

They'd been doing illusion magic, as they had been for the past several months. Sarah had aced it, and a few of her classmates had definitely got the hang of it too. Sarah was glad that there was something that she was just good at.
