♕ Bleeding Moon ♕
She woke up with his cold hands touching her forehead, her cheeks, wiping the traces of violence away from her face. Dorian sighed as her eyes met his, his forehead touching hers. His lips so close, so close, so close.
It was hard to breathe. It was hard to remain awake. Hard to have him in front of her and have it feel like another one of her dreams.
"They are dead its over its over" He whispered over and over again, helping her up. She blinked, remember the spear, Sybilla's words, Phoenix, the hooded men. "Moonlight, its fine, we'll take care of this, its..."
"No no no" she said, her throat closing up. "I tried to... I tried I ... it was too late, it would've killed us, they did ..." she could not make sense, and could see the desperate attempt of Dorian to understand to connect what she was saying. She took a deep breath.
"The Hydra didn't kill them. The men. They were marked. They can't..." she breathed in. "They freed it, they hurt it, the Hydra, there were spears on its neck, stuck there, they wanted it to attack, they wanted us to have to fight it."
Dorian frowned. "But Sybilla said..."
"A moon that bleeds, a rain of feathers" she whispered, not knowing how they could not have seen it sooner. Her eyes look behind him, Phoenix laying down barely conscious. Phoebe and Bren sitting on the floor with their eyes closed. Resting, catching their breath. Her throat closed up. "She meant the blood moon Dorian. They wanted us to trigger it."
"No... it would just be one... there'd have to be three... for each of the gods that blessed Elliana."
"Morte said your parent's dead was the beginning did he not?" She said, struggling to get the words out. Dorian nodded. "Stella's death.... What if that was planned too? What if Belial never intended to make a deal with her and just needed to get close? And this... that's three" Dorian's hands dropped from her. He blinked. Looked up. His mouth opened.
"I can't see the stars" he said. Something broke inside of her chest, a piece of hope, that she might've been wrong.
"Since when?" She asked.
"I don't remember" he whispered, and she could hear the guilt his voice. "I've been too happy to care..." The both of them looked up to the sky, nightfall was coming soon, Dorian pulled her close to him, Aubrette grabbed his neck pulling him closer, and she could feel him, could feel his heart beating as loudly for her as hers did for him. "We don't have time left" he whispered.
She shook her head. Dorian kissed her wrist, breaking apart from her and walking over to Phoenix, and she knew every step he took closer to her killed something inside of him, she watch him kneel beside her, and could not bare to look at Phoenix's face as he told her what they believed.
She stood up, looking at her leg, realizing it was not broken. Saw as Phoenix forced herself upwards. Phoebe and Bren with fearful expressions as they watched the three of them slowly make their way towards the portal.

"We have to try and get as many people out as we can" Phoenix said. "Its looking too close for my comfort" The sun was almost about to set, and then they'd have less than two hours until the moon was fully up. Two hours to do their best to save what they could, who they could.
"There's millions of people living in Hollow ground Phoenix" Dorian said. "We are already too late."
"The main point will be here." Phoenix said. "We've been evacuating for hours, and we all know, we've always been told the blood moon have affected Infernum the most."
