Jungkook stared, and stared and still couldn't make sense of the scene unfolding in front of him.
Judging by the apartment size, it was impossible to have a room attached to the bedroom without adding an odd jutting piece of concrete to the side of the building for the world to see.
They hadn't noticed anything strange sticking out from the side of the 'Everest Apartments' building when he had stepped inside.
How was that guy doing it? It was humanly impossible? How had Taehyung made the apartment capable of holding this particular room?
Jungkook peeked inside, his feet hovering between the blurring line of the actual apartment and the mysterious room stretched out in front of him, beckoning for him to find out what was in store. Should he go inside or not?
He could make out an unkept bed in this room – sheets crumpled as if the person had abandoned the bed as soon as they got up, unlike the bare mattress sitting behind him in the actual apartment.
The walls of this room had aged badly, paint peeling and the plaster of the ceiling caving in, blotted with water, and black spots decorated the upper left corner. The cracks in the walls weren't wide, but they did look hideous, and ran from one side to the other, further into the room.
But Jungkook was unable to see much beyond his current line of sight.
The air was a bit damp and musty, as if closed for a long time, but he knew it wasn't true. If Jungkook's guess was right, Taehyung had slept in here recently, and not in the actual apartment.
There were quite a few pieces of furniture in this room.
A wooden bed lay against the right wall, with a dark mahogany brown headboard, and a small table at the side, which held peculiar trinkets. Jungkook squinted, trying to make out what they were, but the distance was too much. He could only make out that they were made of silver and shone in the pale yellow light cast from lanterns hung on two corners of the walls.
Lanterns? Why did this room have lanterns? No one used lanterns in this age and time? Why-
"He's not normal." Jimin had said. Sweat prickled on Jungkook's forehead at the thought of what this discovery meant.
Was Taehyung from somewhere else? Somewhere that wasn't Russia?
How Jungkook wished the room would throw him some answers, but it only help grow the list of questions in his head.
A frustrated sigh escaped him and he looked back at the room and it's odd location. What powers could possible make Taehyung do this...to create this room?
Jungkook craned his head and found a small door on the far side of the bed.
No. Jungkook shook his head. Had the door been there a minute ago? He frowned and looked down at his feet, wondering if in his excitement he had stepped into the room. His body was where it should be, outside the room.
The marble tiles lying an inch from his shoes, drew a sure line between the two rooms.
The floor was clean even though it was old, just like the apartment behind him, much to Jungkook's surprise.
He had expected dust and spiderwebs to greet him, but from his viewpoint, the marble tiles with dainty floral designs were taken care of.
Unlike the actual apartment which had more than two-third of the floor covered with carpeting, in this room, the only carpeted area was under the bed.
