"What do you mean, you know about my past?" Taehyung frowned. "What did those two idiots tell you?"
He was angry and worried and Jungkook knew he was on the right track of discovering Taehyung's secrets.
"Tell me. What secret did they reveal this time?"
"They told me a story, about the three of us, you, me and Jimin." Jungkook said, watching for the other's reaction.
Taehyung remained emotionless but his hands were clenched into fists, the only sign that he wasn't happy with the watchers revealing his secrets.
"What kind of story?" Taehyung asked.
Jungkook smirked and shook his head. "No. I'm not spilling the beans just yet."
"What do you mean?"
"You have to promise me, that you'll elaborate further on whatever I tell you? I want to know the whole story, and not just leftover crumbs that you decide fit for me to know."
"No." Taehyung answered, flat and unyielding. "I'm not going to do it."
"But you said, you want to hear the story." Jungkook almost whined at Taehyung's indifferent stance. He thought the story was his trump card in getting Taehyung to spill his secrets. Was he wrong to think that?
"I'm not going to tell you anything, that you don't already know."
Jungkook stared at him, trying to find a loophole in his statement. Was Taehyung going to confirm the story the watchers had told him? But didn't Hobi say it was a slightly modified version of the actual reality that took place in Taehyung's past? Does that mean, if it's fake, Taehyung would still accept it and lay it out in front of Jungkook as the truth...? The more he thought about it, the more confused he became.
"Are you going to tell me the story or no?" Taehyung asked.
"Alright, fine. I'll tell you." Jungkook said and pushed away the questions. If he couldn't get the answers from him, maybe Taehyung's body language would give him some hints.
He launched into the narration, making sure to observe Taehyung.
It was dark outside, but the brightly lit lobby of the apartment building served as a beacon of light and truth for Jungkook. Taehyung's side profile was within the light, while waist down he was shrouded in darkness. It helped that Jungkook was standing close to the elder and half whispering the words.
The more he talked, the more Jungkook saw the tension in Taehyung's body lessen. What did that mean? Was he relieved to hear the story that the watchers had told him? But why...unless it meant none of his secrets were revealed.
Yes, that was the answer, Jungkook thought.
Taehyung had made it clear to Jungkook that he was not one to reveal his past or his private life. Yet, he wasn't upset with the story Jungkook was telling him.
"So...I know, you were a King in your past life, and...and I was your lover." Jungkook didn't know why his body betrayed him and he blushed under Taehyung's gaze. It wasn't like he had professed his love for the other, then why was he embarrassed to speak out loud about being Taehyung's lover in one of the life times? It was in the past, the present him, the present Jungkook wasn't his lover...right?
"Did they say anything else? Did they mention anyone else?"
"Uh-" Jungkook thought about the time Hobi had exchanged looks with Yoongi and mentioned a name. "Ah...Yes! After they told me the story, they said someone named Seokjin would handle everything."
