Jimin watched Jungkook with careful eyes.
He had returned from his morning adventure, wherever that was, and Jimin hadn't asked him. He knew Jungkook still wasn't ready to talk about how dangerous Taehyung was. He had left at crack of dawn and returned late in the afternoon, and though Jimin was worried, he didn't chide him for missing lunch with him or that Jimin had to visit tourist spots without him for company.
Jimin's eyes kept flickering back and forth, between the food in front of him and at Jungkook. Jaco had let him know dinner was ready, and Jimin had asked Jungkook to join him. Before that, the youngster had been holed up in his room. It was killing Jimin, making him wonder what had happened when he went out in the morning. Did he run into trouble? Did something happen on his way back?
He had yet to tell him, and Jimin was slowly losing his patience.
"If you glare any harder you're going to end up burning holes into the tablecloth."
Jimin chuckled. "Thanks for the warning."
At least Jungkook was back to being himself instead of the angry version, racing out to get far away from him. Jimin hadn't meant to yell or try to push his logic about Taehyung on to Jungkook. But he had panicked, and the fear got the best of him. He couldn't think anything outside of the current danger they faced from Taehyung...that is if they really did. He still didn't know where they stood when it came to Taehyung?
Was he a foe or friend? Jimin wanted to hold on to his suspicion that Taehyung was here for Jungkook, but if that was the case, Jungkook would have been attacked when he went out.
If Taehyung really wanted to get back at Jungkook, wouldn't he be watching his every move? But Jungkook was here, in front of him, safe and sound. So...why had Taehyung not done anything?
And it didn't help that Jungkook was silent about the morning trip to the outside world.
"Jungkookie?"
"Hmm..." Jungkook didn't look up, but Jimin noticed the twitch of his fingers holding the spoon over his bowl of soup.
"Where did you go? This morning? You were out for hours." Jimin asked. He knew there was a high possibility that Jungkook would push him, he may refuse to answer, but he had to try.
Something was bothering Jungkook, and it had to be something to do with his morning outing. Jimin was sure.
"I went-"
"Yes."
Jungkook put down his spoon and sighed, before leaning back in his chair. "I don't know what to say."
"It's okay." Jimin had already made a wild guess where he had been, but he still needed to hear Jungkook say it. "You can tell me. I'm not mad anymore."
"You sure?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow at him.
"Yes. Did you go to meet Taehyung?"
"Not exactly."
Jimin frowned. If he didn't go out to meet Taehyung, where did he go?
"I ended up going to the park near Taehyung's apartment."
"Oh."
"I wasn't planning on meeting him. I just wanted to clear my head and that park came to my mind." Jungkook said and glanced at Jimin. "Taehyung usually takes that route for his morning walks, and he happened to bump into me."
Jimin bit the inside of his cheek before he could say that it wasn't a coincidence. Maybe this time, Taehyung really didn't know Jungkook would be there. Jimin couldn't let his fear win again, so he nodded and let Jungkook continue.
