After the revelation, Taehyung felt relaxed and his mind didn't throw any other question at him.

He was almost done with the burger, when a burning sensation spread over his right thigh. The glass of water in Taehyung's hand trembled, the shock spreading through his limbs and down his spine, igniting his resting essence.

Taehyung groaned on the inside. This wasn't the right time to have his powers to awaken. He had two very human guys sitting under his nose.

He quickly placed the glass back on the table. Leaning back, Taehyung dug into his pocket and reached for the object that was causing his powers to react in such a way – the two-way mirror he had tried to use before. The old magic within the mirror had given his powers the boost it needed, after the recent exhaustion he had felt back at SKYLARK.

He had tried to use the mirror before. His conversation with Namjoon hyung hadn't gone well though, and Jungkook had discovered him before he could get any news from his brother. This time though, Jungkook was busy enjoying the food in front of him. Jimin too wasn't paying much attention to him.

Seems like none of them had noticed his slip up. This was good. He could try reaching for his brother again this time.

"Excuse me." Taehyung got up. "I need to use the restroom." The two of them nodded, but didn't spare him another glance, and Taehyung made his way to the back, and to the sign that read 'Men' on the door. He was about to reach for the knob, when another thought stopped him. What if Jimin or Jungkook walked on him talking to Namjoon? Yes, they knew him as someone who used magic. Still, they were just getting used to it. Taehyung didn't want to freak them out further by brandishing the talking mirror in front of them, Jimin might have a nervous breakdown if he did.

Without wasting another second, Taehyung headed for the back door, near the kitchen, and slipped into the nearby alley.

It was dark, and it took a minute for his eyes to adjust to the dim street light illuminating his right side.

Trash cans and a strong smell of garbage hung in the air. Taehyung wrinkled his nose and breathed through his mouth, but the foul smell still invaded his senses. He couldn't talk like this with hyung, Taehyung. He whirled around, trying to find a better spot.

If he took a right, and walked for a couple minutes, Taehyung calculated he would reach the main road in ten minutes.

The plan wasn't to ditch Jimin's treat and make a run for it, no, Taehyung only needed to get away from the stinky area.

He set out, making his way in the direction of the street light, his steps brisk and with purpose.

Within the next two minutes he had walked a good distance from the trash cans and the air was cleaner, and Taehyung took a deep breathe.

When he was sure, he had cleared his senses of the annoying stench, Taehyung lifted the mirror and held it in front of him.

"Hyung?"

"Tae-" the voice came after a second of static, but Taehyung couldn't see anything in the mirror.

"Namjoon hyung, are you there?"

"Yes, Taehyungie. Can you not see me?"

"No. I still can't see your face, hyung."

"Seokjin? Do something." Taehyung heard his brother whisper.

Seokjin? It had been centuries since he had heard that name. He had only picked up that name when the elders held their meetings. Even so, he had never heard it through his brother's lips. What was going on?
