"Yes. It's about the three of you." Yoongi had said.
"But-" Hoseok held up a hand. "We can't lay out the whole story in front of you."
Yoongi started to say something, but Hoseok was already shaking his head. "No, hyung. We can't put Seokjin at risk. By keeping most details out of the picture, is the only way to not ruin Seokjin hyung's life. We're already violating a hundred something rules by telling Jungkook this story, let's not making it more difficult for Seokjin to handle the mess once they find out."
Yoongi sighed and nodded.
Meanwhile, Jungkook filed away the information to the back of his head – this Seokjin guy, whoever he was, must hold considerable power, and then there were the strange elders that these two kept referring to and then the actual story – Jungkook still hadn't heard it yet.
The curious was gripping him by the neck and he couldn't wait any longer.
"So...what's Taehyung's story."
"That's up to you to decide." Hoseok said, and Jungkook frowned.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I can share the story with you, but I can't reveal the roles everybody plays in it. You'll have to guess who Taehyung is in the story, and which role you and Jimin plays."
Jungkook pursed his lips, his mind working to find a loop hole, but he failed. There was none.
"I guess I'll just hear it out and ask Taehyung later."
Yoongi let out a snort. "Sure. You're acting as if Taehyung is dying to tell you his past story."
Jungkook glared at the hyung, but when Hobi started speaking, he focused back on him.
"Since, you already know so much about Taehyung, you must have already guessed it...Taehyung isn't from this timeline, he isn't of this dimension."
"I guessed it was the case." Jungkook. Honestly, he had no idea there was another dimension or world outside the one he lived in. Only after he had met Taehyung, had Jungkook entertained the possibilities of multiple universes, or timeline. And when he had seen that strange room, his belief in the existence of time beyond their world was confirmed.
"Good. He might look and act human, but he's not."
"I'm not sure where to start, but I'll introduce the characters to you, and we can go from there." Hobi said looking down at his hands.
Jungkook nodded and Hoseok took a deep breath, and launched into the retelling of a fairytale.
"The world that Taehyung lived in before this, it was controlled and governed by a Council who held authority over everything. And under them was the King, who looked after his people and took care of their well-being."
"Who's the king?"
"Didn't you listen to what Hoseok said before, kid?" Yoongi said, the annoyance was back in his voice. "He said, you'll have to decide who played what role. We won't be answering any questions."
Jungkook gave a small nod and turned to Hobi. "Please, continue."
"The King had a brother, who loved him dearly. He had watched the King from a young age, always training to be the perfect ruler and he knew he didn't have any friends of his own to play with. He had never seen the King unwind or even smile, and sometimes even felt guilty that being the elder he had turned away from his duties, and thrown them on his little brother's weak shoulders, and expected him to bare it all. But, he was not made to be a King, while his younger brother excelled in everything he did, a worthy candidate for the throne, or so he thought. Every day he would watch the King, his younger brother, work until late and sleep late. So he decided to get him a friend, someone who would lighten up his mood when he was too stressed."
