Someone had broken into his balcony and Jungkook was seconds from freaking out.

He hadn't noticed it at first.

After coming back from Taehyung's apartment, the weariness had taken over his body and Jungkook wanted to sleep it off. He wanted to get rid of all the random and curious thoughts that popped up in his head.

He had promised himself to not think about the strange room hidden away behind the closet in Taehyung's room. And he was trying to follow through, but it was proving to be slightly impossible. Every few minutes, the memories would push through the walls his mind had set up and force him to watch as the room rippled again, in his head, the eerie feeling he had felt then, coming back to haunt him in the safety of his room. He was beginning to hate it.

Jungkook sighed and turned to his side.

He was still fighting to sleep, when he had heard the weird scrapping sound.

It wasn't overly loud, and he could almost ignore it, if he didn't listen with an attentive ear. Jungkook, for a few minutes had even wondered if his exhausted mind had come up with a few new tricks to bother him with. But the sound had interrupted his fuming, again.

It was coming from the balcony.

He knew Jimin wasn't the daring soul he claimed to be, for him to climb the balcony. What was it? Or...who was it?

Jungkook couldn't think of much, and he came up blank on the faces of his intruders.

He had to check out, but at the same time he didn't want to.

Logic said that if it was a person with ill intentions, he or she would have already attacked Jungkook within the first few minutes. But nothing of the sort had happened.

Jungkook crawled further into the comforter, warm from his body heat. Should he go or no?

The faint sounds of scratching were close to the window now, on Jungkook left's side.

What should he do? If it were Jimin right now, he would have been lecturing him to go out and find the identity of this person, if there was even one. He could almost imagine Jimin's annoyed voice in his head, "Someone unfamiliar and unknown is intruding and tainting your privacy! You need to show them where to draw the line, show them that there was a limit to fangirling over you!"

Given Jimin's celebrity status, he was used to this kind of behavior. And to a degree, Jungkook too had picked up on the lifestyle, but he didn't have those crazies on his side just yet. The global fame hadn't walked to his side just yet, and he didn't regret it.

Jungkook was going to work hard and earn every bit of that fame, which Jimin wielded so confidently.

Though you wouldn't catch him saying it out loud, he admired Jimin for never succumbing to the temptation that fame bought with it. He had always stayed grounded and humble, and Jungkook was going to follow in his footsteps.

The scratching sounds were persistent now, pulling him out of his thoughts.

Jungkook took a deep breath, his mind settling on a decision and he let his comforter fall to the side. With careful movements, he shifted to the side of his bed and got up. Jungkook was careful not to stumble over the mess on the floor – t-shirts laying on the carpet, one of his shoes under the bed, his jacket thrown on one chair and the wire of table lamp, waiting to trip him in the next second.
