-Tessa's POV-

"Whatcha workin on?" I ask, jumping into the rolly chair next to Nash's and slide almost all the way across the floor. Followed by inching myself forward using my heels.

Nash mumbles something as he types frantically into the computer.

"Hmm?" I say, only a few feet from him now.

"Oh nothing, just stupid Manager crap. My original managers taking a break so I have to find a replacement, and I bet you can tell how that's going." He explains motions to computer screen which is crowded with emails.

"Ew."

Nash smirks and returns himself to the screen. "Where's your boyfriend?" He asks not turning to look at me.

"Probably downstairs, he was in the kitchen last time I saw him, so I just came up here." I sigh.

He laughs and spins around. "Bored of him already? I understand."

"PSH. Yes! He's so annoying. Probably gonna break up with him soon!" I exclaim sarcastically as I spin around and around in my chair.

"I wish more girls were like you Tessa." Nash mentions. "Not worried about what their boyfriends doing all the time."

I smile and out the large window in his room. "I don't really see the point in stressing out over little things like that. Just watching makes me ECK!"

Nash laughs. And a not-so-awkward silence follows.

Looking out the window, I gaze over the sparkling water in the ocean. Footprints line the sandy shore and I smile as the memory of the piggy-back race softly comes to mind.

Little did I know...

Setting my feet on the window sill, the sun warms my legs when I feel my eyes begin to droop.

And at last I see the light, and it's like the fog has lifted...

"What are you singing?" Nash asks, stopping me in mid-hum.

"I See the Light from Tangled. Sorry but, I'm a bit obsessed with that movie." I smirk still staring at the sparkling water.

Nash laughs and shifts in his chair a bit, and I can hear him mumble my name a few times sarcastically.

Smiling, I return my attention to everything outside the window. Watching the trees sway in the slight breeze blowing through.

I smile and glance to my right when I notice a calendar on the wall. Not even having to read it, I can feel my happiness fading.

I've only got twelve days left.

I don't want to leave, to my home where I won't even feel at home. I've come to realize that I don't even miss it anymore. All I need, are my friends. And it really stinks that I am beginning to think that.

If only my parents really cared..

As I sit there watching the birds and boats go bye, I feel everything slowing down as I drift off to sleep.

-Hayes POV-

"Where are the chicken nuggets?!" I yell at Nash upstairs.

I hear Nash faintly roll back in his chair and walk out of his room. Coming down the stairs, a frustrated look us plastered on his face.

"What's u-" I begin.

"Would you be quiet! Tessa's asleep!" He scolds through his barred teeth.

I frown. "She is? Let me see!" I say dropping the box of cereal in my hands and running toward him.

"No! You can't come until you eat something and shut up a little! Geez I'm surprised she's not awake by now." He sighs , obviously annoyed as he walks back up the stairs.

Sighing, I walk back over and pour some cereal into a small bowl and beginning shoveling it into my mouth. Not caring that I forgot the milk.

***************

Once I finish, I rush quietly up the stairs and walk a bit down the hallway until I reach Nash's room. Walking up, I notice the door is closed.

The heck?

Opening it quickly, I walk in to see Nash at his computer and see Tessa's legs sticking out from behind a chair sitting on the window sill.

Oh.

"Really Hayes?" Nash asks spinning around and glaring at me.

"Why the heck was the door closed?" I ask, although I know it's stupid to even ask.

"Are you kidding me Hayes? Get over yourself." Nash growls and spins back around.

Sighing, I smile seeing that Tessa hasn't moved, hopefully she's still asleep.

Walking over, I lean over just enough to see her slouched comfortably in the chair. Her arms crossed, and her eyes softly shut. Smiling, I sit on the window sill a foot away from her feet and lean against the window watching her.

It's funny really, how I've only known her for two and half months and she's already my girlfriend. But I'm happy. I wonder who'd I would have dated if I hadn't met her. But at least I don't have to think about that.

Watching her sleep, I feel myself falling asleep myself, but I fight against it. Looking out the window, I watch a few birds walk along the sand, making two little tracks on the sand.

"Hey." Tessa's voice says and I feel a foot tap my knee a few times.

Jolting a bit, I turn and look at her. She smiles tiredly before shutting them again. "How long have I been asleep?"

"Like half an hour." Nash responds and she nods.

"And how long have you been here?" She asks pointing at me.

"Just a few minutes." I say.

She smiles. Putting her feet on the floor she sits up a beat and looks around. Scratching her head, she frowns at me.

"Can we go for a walk? I need to tell you something."
