Chapter Thirty-Seven

-Tessa's POV-

Squeezing Sky one last time, I set her softly into her car seat.

"Spin me again!" She squeals, wriggling out of her seat.

"No Skylynn. It's time to go." Elizabeth says, and Sky quickly obeys and slides back into her seat. "You ready Madison?" She asks.

"Umm yeah!" Madison replies before turning back to Shawn who stands oddly close to her. I smile. Cute.

"I hope we see you again, and I'm sure we will." Elizabeth says stretching out her arms.

Accepting her hug, I tense up for a moment but nod. "Yeah me too. I'll have to come visit." I say pulling away.

She smiles.

"Bye mom. Love ya." Hayes says walking up and wrapping her in a hug.

Stepping back, Hayes slides his arm around my waist, pulling me against him.

His mother smirks.

"You two be good while I'm gone! Okay?" She says walking over and opening the front door.

Hayes laughs. "Okay mom, we will." But I just stand there awkwardly.

Saying one last goodbye, Elizabeth slides into the car and shuts the door. Glancing over, I notice Madison and Shawn hugging a last time, Shawn whispering something in her ear which makes her laugh.

Leaving his arms, Madison joins Elizabeth and Sky in the car. Waving goodbye, they slowly pull away until they are out of sight.

Sighing loudly with relief, Nash throws his hands in the air.

"Man I love them but they stress me out when they're here for long periods of time!" He says and I few chuckles arise from the group of us.

"What should we do?" I ask, but responded with only silence.

"We could go town." Suggests Taylor.

"Nah, we do that a lot." Matthew states and many agree.

"You know what I want to do?" Mahogany asks raising her voice towards the end. All of turn toward her awaiting her idea.

"I really want to go stay the night behind the Hollywood sign. Kinda been on the bucket list." She states.

Silence.

"That actually sounds fun." I reply, Mahogany smiling at my agreement.

A few murmurs here and there when Cameron raises his hand.

"Umm... Cameron?" Mahogany asks.

"Me, Taylor, Carter, and Matt wanna go."

"Okay how about Hayes and Nash. You guys wanna go?"

I feel Hayes shift a little from one foot to the other. "Sounds good to me, but it's a long drive."

"We could head there in a few days, I have a few things I need to set straight with my manager. After that we can go. Sound good?" Nash asks.

"Yes!" Mahogany shrieks, before running off toward her condo. Jacob not following too far behind.

"Probably going to pack all the cloths she has. Gotta have the perfect outfit." Hayes whispers, making me laugh on the inside but only a sarcastic smirk finds it's way to the surface.

The small circle of people thins and fades until it's only me and Hayes. Pulling me close he looks deeply into me for a moment before frowning. "You okay?"

I nod, but bury my head into his shoulder. "Just tired, and... we'll never mind." I say as I fade out hoping he doesn't catch it.

Pulling me away he places a small kiss upon my lips and smiles. "I'm sure everything's fine. Everything's great actually, for me." He says tangling his fingers in mine.

I smile. "Thanks."

"Now come on. I want to know what Nash is up to."

"Okay." I reply as he begins dragging me away, but something's pulling at my heart. And I just don't know what...
