Chapter Sixteen

-Hayes POV-

Group after group of girls file into the ice cream shop and crowd at our tables.

Madison continues to stick close to me. Constantly holding my arm and leaning in next to me in pictures.

She normally doesn't act like this.

I look over and see Tessa having the time of her life.

She carries on conversations with each group of girls as of they were her best friends.

She smiles in pictures and hugs the girls and thanks them for coming.

Her and Mahogany flip through Mahogany's phone and smile at each other.

They both quickly walk over to the sound system for the shop and plug in her phone.

Instantly, "She's so Perfect" by 5sos begins playing through the speakers.

She looks so perfect standing there,

In my American imperial underwear,

And I know now,

That I'm so down...

Most of the girls shriek and begin singing along. Mahogany and Tessa begin singing along and clapping to the beat.

Nash and Cameron join them and they all begin singing.

Smiling, I get up and begin walking per to them.

"Hey!" Madison says grabbing my hand.

"What?" I ask pulling away.

She frowns. "They're still stuff to sign."

I look her straight in the eyes. "That can wait. I want to have fun."

I turn away and walk over to them and join the singing. By then, Carter, Taylor, and Matt have joined in too.

I stand next to Tessa and smile at her.

She smiles back at me and I wrap my arm around her shoulder and begin to sing along.

All the fan girls dance and sing until the song finally comes to an end.

Laughing, we all high-five and Cameron and Nash scream at the top of their lungs.

Everyone bursts out laughing and Mahogany drags Tessa away to meet one of the fans.

I stand there for a moment laughing when Madi comes over and slings her arm over my shoulders and lies her head on it.

The laughter dies down and everyone stares at us.

"Kiss her!" Someone yells in the crowd.

I feel a knot growing in my throat.

Crap.

She looks at me and smiles.

I look around and most of the fans start chanting.

"Kiss her! Kiss her!"

I look at Madi and she smirks.

"Come here."

At that moment she presses her lips to mine.

I stand there shocked, my eyes wide open.

Yells and whistles erupt from the crowd and I push Madison away.

She smiles at me and wipes her lips.

I frown at her and turn away.

I bump into someone and look up to see Matthew.

He frowns at me and shakes his head.

I push past him when I realize, Tessa's gone.
