Erin woke up groggy. She didn't recognize where she was, until she rolled over in bed and saw a figure. She freaked a little internally before getting a good look and realizing that it was Jay.

Wait. It was Jay. Did they... do anything last night? She thought to herself. Erin was clothed. At least she had Jays shirt on over her bra and panties. Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing if they did. She swirled many a thought in her head until Jay shifted and rolled over in bed while opening his eyes.

"Hey" he said,
"Morning" Erin said as she just gawked at how hot this man was. He was a lot tanner than she remembered, a lot more muscled too. Jay was shirtless so she could see every one of his abs, not before the bruises distracted her. Jay's chest and stomach was covered in one big angry purple bruise. Erin was stunned to the spot.

Until she shook from her trance and shifted to face him,
"Did we... do anything last night?" She asked Jay, he rolled his eyes and smiled.
"No we didn't" he could hear the relief in her voice. Probably because she just got there, gave him a hug and passed out.

"You got here, gave me a hug. We went to the couch and you passed out. So I was going to put you in my bed because I was still awake. And I was awake for a long time. I fell asleep on the couch then woke up and wondered over here but I completely forgot you were here too so anyways half asleep me isn't the smartest. Hope you slept ok though" he said in a caring tone. Erin smiled.

"I slept okay yeah. I don't even remember coming here last night. But are you allowed back at work today? Because if so I'll take you. My car is in the carpark across the street" she offered. Now it was Jays turn to smile.

"Yeah I'd like that" he said. They both got up and got dressed, Erin wearing the same clothes as she wore yesterday.

Hailey is going to know, she grumbled to herself in her mind. But there's nothing to tell! She corrected herself. They didn't do anything. They only slept in the same bed after she turned up at his apartment out of the blue, hugged him and passed out on his couch. Totally believable. She rolled her eyes at herself. Everyone was going to figure out that they spent the night together.

Erin pulled up around the back and dropped Jay off so no one could get suspicious,
"See you inside" he said with a wink as he got out of the car. Erin drove back around to the front and parked her car before walking into the district.

She was greeted by Sergeant Platt,
"Morning Detective, here's a package for you" she said as she handed a box to Erin.

"Morning. Thanks Sarge" she said with a smile as she headed up to the bullpen. Erin was greeted by warm smiles and hellos.

Everything was starting to feel normal again,
"Morning" she heard a voice say. Erin turned around to see a smirking Jay at his desk. She playfully threw a piece of paper at him before sitting opposite his desk ready to open her box.

Just as she was about to, Hailey asked.
"Are those the same clothes from yesterday?" she said really loud with a cheeky look on her face. Erin knew what she was thinking as everyone turned to her, especially Jay who was laughing his ass off. Hailey immediately picked up on it,
"Oh my god. Not even three months back as partners and you guys can't keep it in your pants" Hailey said as she fell to the floor laughing. Erin tackled her in a rough hug, laughing equally as hard.

Jay was getting roughed up by his friends playfully attacking him with punches and jolts. Everyone was laughing until Voight came out of the office with a serious look on his face, he placed ten pictures on the board.

"These children were all reported missing as of two nights ago. Our four DOAs were reported missing the same night as well. This isn't a coincidence. They took them all at the same time. But why?" Erin looked at the board. Before a small girl in a photo, about three years old with sandy blonde hair, freckles and startling blue eyes.

It can't be. Erin's heart stopped. She remembered. It couldn't be though. Could it? Her mind was spinning again,
"Do we know any of their names? Or where they were abducted from?" she asked quietly. Voight stared right through her and shook his head before beckoning her into his office.

She dreaded what he was about to say,
"Tell me I'm dreaming Erin" he said in a worried but stern tone.
"I don't even know, yes when you called me I had the baby. She looked exactly like her. Not that I remember clearly but I remember her eyes. They were replicas to his..." Erin's voice trailed off. She felt guilty, one for not telling anyone about her child. And two for not telling Jay he was the father. Though he looked really anxious so she was pretty sure he had figured it out.

"Does he know?" Voight said motioning to the detective who was deep in conversation with Adam.

"No. I found out just after I left. I don't even remember giving birth. Clara would remember though, and I remember talking to her" Erin's memories came back. She remembered talking to Clara after her daughter was born, she trusted her. Knew she'd find the baby a good home. Erin couldn't deal with a kid, especially without Jay. She'd always thought that if she ever had kids, they'd be with him.

"Call Clara. Get her in here and, you have to tell Halstead. He's going to figure it out one way or another" Erin nodded and headed back over to the board. To stare at the little girls picture. Her little girl.

Her name was Hadley. Hadley Mae. Erin's heart shattered, but before she could let her emotions take over. Jay dragged her to the break room. And she took a massive gulp. Oh no.
